Firefly8000
Please explain... Alright, here i go: Ok so in the first game it starts simple, there's a secret war between the templars and the assassins and in the end you discover what the strange artifact does, which is control over people basicly, and the woman you meet named Lucy turns out she's an assasin and she tells you she's gonna help you, then it ends up on a cliffhanger. Thats pretty simple so far, but then on the second game suddenly the world is gonna end because the sun is gonna cook the planet or something, also there are the "people that came before", and they warn you about whats going to happen, then it ends up on a cliffhanger. On Brotherhood, the only thing that gets more ridiculous is the part where Desmond grabs the apple and suddenly is commanded (Against his will) to kill Lucy without explanation, cliffhanger again. And finally on Revelations Desmond is on a comma, Lucy's death isn't explained(Unless you buy the f*cking ancestors DLC) but i did some research on the AC wiki and i found out that Lucy was a templar all along(So she was a TRIPLE agent!) The world is also on its course of destruction and in the end you see Desmonds dad and the rest of the crew in New York for then the game to end on a cliffhanger. So anyways, it starts relatively simple, just a secret war that has been on since the crusades, and it ends up on the world ending the same way it ended a long time ago but thanks to the "people that came before" we are now warned and somehow we are gonna do something to stop it, i wouldn't be surprised if suddenly the templars and assassins work together to stop "it". Thats pretty ridiculous to me, you know, it's still a fantastic game. 'The Ones Who Came Before' were mentioned by Vidic in AC1, so they were always gonna be involved. darthYENIK
To be fair, that's how most serial TV shows and movies and games are. You have to start simple, then ratchet up the insanity. Look at Lost. Look at Mad Men, even. It's not a bad thing. That's how you tell an interesting story. Of course it could go totally wrong, and look like insanity for the case of insanity. I don't think it's gone that far in the series yet. I do think it blows that the only way to understand Lucy being killed by Desmond is to buy the DLC. I think that's a humongous part of the story. It's not like the battle for Forli, it's has to do with a major character dying. That needs to be in the full game. This is where I start to understand some people's hate for Ubisoft. I'm pretty sure that it's going to be mentioned in AC3, considering that no one other than Subject 16 knows about it, and Shaun and Rebecca are going to be particularly interested to know why he did it. And who knows? Maybe Subject 16 left some clues somewhere?
Blackadder.
So apparently there is a 'rumour' that this is going to be delayed until November for PC. I put rumour in inverted commas because at this stage it'd be less likely for it not to be delayed.

Seddo
I thought the song and tone suited the trailer, Amazing Grace is song that is heard at many funerals and memorial days. You've got the images of battle and people dying, an image of a church and many shots of graves, burning buildings and sinking ships. The trailer was all about battle and death, both worked well together. The game looks awesome when it's showing 100's of soldiers all firing off together on the same screen. Absolutely agree with that, I only learnt about it on TV Tropes. That's, well, REALLY F*CKING IMPORTANT TO THE CHARACTER. I have no idea why we didn't find out about that. They'll probably reveal it in Ass3 though for 4th July trailer: Man, that was terrible. Not the actual song but the girl was so off key in that. Needed a better singer. Who would you prefer then? Kelly Clarkson? The song works. It's calm, yet eerie as someone said above.
darthYENIK
Jesus f*cking christ, it was a little girl. I think the point of using a little girl as a singer, is that she's not the best talent, but she sings with more soul than most. Anyway, does it matter? It's just a trailer. I laughed at the trailer because it says, "This July 4th, Ignite the Revolution" And then "Coming October 30th".

Seddo
lol @ the flamewar in the fourth of july trailer Ha it spreads into every AC3 video, it's a bloody game stop being bitches about killing the British. After watching Ubi's Ghost Recon 20 min live action movie i hope they do another decent length one for Assassin's Creed.

Eagles
Is anyone going to buy the Freedom Edition? There will be a figurine of Connor, 24 cm, for £79,97. Too bad it will be probably three times more expensive here in Brazil (and it would be an ass to import one of these).

El Dildo
but the Templars don't have just one nationality or allegiance. they don't belong to any country. Templars in America wouldn't represent the United States. if they betrayed Connor it would be for Templar reasons. plus I haven't seen any indication that Connor will slaughter Yankees like he's slaughtering Brits. in every trailer so far, Connor appears to be aiding the revolutionaries. Chaise
I love the way Ubisoft is marketing this game, all these trailers and screenshots they've given us, has really got me really excited for this game. They must be planning on spending a lot of money on marketing the game to, I just saw a commercial for AC 3 on TV last night. I don't think i've ever seen a game get a commercial when the release date it over 3 months away lol. So, yeah I'm really pumped up for this game, the graphics look great, and all the new features they've shown us look very promising. Can't wait for the game to release. EmagmaLak
The Boston video, just wow Assassins Creed is seriously becoming my favourite game series ever. The only small thing i didnt like the sound of was the new health system, i understand that being able to down a potion in the middle of combat might of been slightly "easy mode" But not being able to regenerate health until your out of combat could be a bit tricky if you dont just want to run away all the time. I mean think back to the original assassins creed, when you had to assinate robert de sable but it turns out to be a decoy if you have that amount of enemies after you, without being able to regenerate health it could become slightly aggravating. And on that occasion there was so many enemies, and guards on the roof it was so hard to outrun them. Not knocking it before ive tried it of course, so ill just have to see how it goes.
