People need to grow up and find some other corner of the Internet to pollute. The boycotting stuff in particular is hilarious. Yeah the reactions are pretty comedic. Especially when people use the term boycott and don't realize what it actually means. Hilarious. Yeah and you know EVERY person who says that will still buy the game at midnight of it's release... I really hope they do as it will be an epic game from what I can see. Although a fellow forum member named Joan Crawford has decided to wait to buy a used copy in her protest against R*. Ha! I think its pretty reasonable for someone to be annoyed at rockstar, this is a highly anticipated game and they havent even given a release date. Whether they produce awesome games is a matter of opinion red dead redemption was an average game for me personally and i expected alot more from GTA4. I reckon people big up the games just because they are made by rockstar. At the end of the day it just feels like The GTA5 trailer was released to publicise MP3 which is just arrogant. I won't be buying MP3 just because rockstar made it, ill not be buying it because it looks repetitive like GTA4. I won't be buying MP3 for the simple reason that I have no interest in the Max Payne series... I owned one for PS2. It was an enjoyable game but it's not my thing. Same reason I didn't buy LA Noire. Personally (for me anyway) I enjoy these games...well because I just simply enjoy them. Nothing at all to do with having a R* logo on their cover. GTA IV, RDR and even LA Noire were all games I enjoyed and spent many hours playing and I still would've enjoyed them if they weren't made by R*. We're all different at the end of the day. People love the Halo series yet I have no interest in it. People keep saying the Saints Row series will take over GTA, but I simply don't agree. The world would be boring if we all liked and disliked the same thing. As I said before I feel R* have consistently delivered AAA titles that a general audience typically accepts. As much as I like R* I was never a big fan of the Smugglers Run games, so while R* do make great games there are some I'm not as fond of as others, but not really because they're terrible, but because they just don't interest me. Then again I'm the type of person who doesn't think there are too many terrible games on the market. Some just interest me more than others that's all. I'm sure PR and Marketing will be the subject of some board meeting at some time. Protest is why all our lives are as good as they are (if you live in a democracy). A small % of people not buying the game might be hard to detect, but the forums and R*'s own website being the subject of criticism and calling out of corporate strategy that is too transparent to remain secret = priceless. Maybe secrecy is necessary to not appear as A holes and not "hype". As the new reverse definition of hype appears here. I get your point of GTA IV being less then satisfactory to your standards, but in regards to the series it was a huge leap forward. As far as GTA V being used to marked MP3 that is just here say at this point. How are you completely sure that R* did it on purpose? Nothing like it in reality. Comparing people who tell it the way they see it as junkies is the only defense we see here to what many perceive as a messed up game schedule and PR from R*. Or how abusive R*'s website is getting as a result of poor replies from the site moderators (mods from here should moonlight over there). Personal insults are the only pro R* almighty responses.
