The immaturity levels I've witnessed over this game after the two-month mark of no new information was truly disturbing. People need to grow up and find some other corner of the Internet to pollute. The boycotting stuff in particular is hilarious. Yeah the reactions are pretty comedic. Especially when people use the term boycott and don't realize what it actually means. Hilarious. Yeah and you know EVERY person who says that will still buy the game at midnight of it's release... I really hope they do as it will be an epic game from what I can see. I am talking about GTA V and I don't think you will be able to do it. In respect to your protest if you can hold out then more power to you, but in my mind it seems crazy. You have waited so long yet you will wait even longer. At the end of the day you are playing a product made by someone you hate. Sorry just doesn't seem to make sense to me but to each there own. Yes, I think I will be able to handle it. I have waited that long, it isn't that hard to wait another day or two. I don't care if it's developed by them or not, but I just don't want them to have my money. This type of DRM has been a looming threat in the games industry for some time now. That is sheer greed. So owning second hand will become impossible. Its things like this that encourage piracy and code crackers. They will hurt themselves in the long run IMO. DLCs will become DLGs soon. Games will all be DL'd and nothing else. But I just wanted to say something about something about some of the things I read on these bored directed at Rockstar and it's employees. I read constant things like "F*ck them. Those assholes never share any info. Blah Blah Blah ... ... ..." I think some people need to actually sit back and remember that these employees at Rockstar give us terrific titles year after year. GTA is the prized possession of Rockstar and they always do it right. Who cares if they're so secret about the information? Don't you realize the trailer is designed to garnish TONS of buzz for months with shedding very little details. For example they show planes so we can argue for 3-4 months if there is a SF or LV? That's what Rockstar does best. They get the people talking. This is going to be Rockstar's best selling title (GTA V) of All-Time guaranteed. Do you think they care if people a bitching about info? In the kindest way to all the whiners - Some the hate and appreciate what Rockstar gives us The people that hate on R* are mostly GTA fans who think that R* should only focus on there flagship title, or at least not take 5 years between each GTA game. The "terrific titles" you speak of don't really seem so terrific to the GTA fans. Just to warn you this might get locked as it is just going to lead to a flame war. But u can't sh*t on people who have not only waited five years but then bought other R* titles to show support to them to not get at least a little pissy. You show a trailer which shows little info to really be a pay off for such a long wait. I've said it in other threads and it stands true today wait too long and you'll find out people gave up, or like Chinese democracy its so hyped up it could never live up to the hype. Do I agree with not buying GTAV? Not personally, I'm weak and I'll probably attend the midnight launch. I love GTA and want it stat at really any price. I'd throw any of you under a bus tire to get it right now so your opinions mean very little unless it is well thought out and changes my opinion (which happens, I'm an open person). Should you protest if you are displeased? Hells yes. It's the only way. Probably things like that may improve the release date for everybody for GTA6 if enough people get on board to be noticed. I don't view every topic, but, I see Joan attacked all the time first, by foreskin munchers and I applaud her for sticking around. I figured she'd be sick of it by now. It seems a bit weird to be a fan of a certain product, but not the people who have created it. Now personally I think R* are a great developer and have consistently delivered AAA titles over the last few years. Sure some of their decisions are questionable, but I don't see any reason to dislike them. At the end of the day they're still human beings with families like you, me and everyone else. Rockstar's marketing department is genius. That trailer was designed to show exactly what they wanted it to show. Again, it's not like I don't think they make quality products, because they probably make some of the best games out there IMO. The issue I have primarily comes in their marketing techniques. They become so irritating to me that I don't even want to fund their company because I know that if I do, those same techniques have a larger chance of being used next time. If you read what I wrote you would see my reason. R* created GTA so without them this forum board wouldn't exist. There would be no "GTAFORUM" to come to and make the point you are making. I think its pretty reasonable for someone to be annoyed at rockstar, this is a highly anticipated game and they havent even given a release date. Whether they produce awesome games is a matter of opinion red dead redemption was an average game for me personally and i expected alot more from GTA4. I reckon people big up the games just because they are made by rockstar. At the end of the day it just feels like The GTA5 trailer was released to publicise MP3 which is just arrogant.
