acmilano
As for the voiceover, I know some Mexicans that does sound like that, but I'm leaning towards the Ned Luke guy. I always got the New York mafia feel from the voice. And that would explain the "I guess it was the weather" line as well. But who am I to say, my accent recognition skills are horrible. Still I think he's a New Yo.. Liberty City mobster who wanted to retire to the west and turn legit like one Corleone.. I think this too, with all R* tradition with GTA games outside Liberty City having protagonists comeing from LC (Tommy came from LC to Vice City and CJ returns to San Andreas after few years in Liberty),so it's possible that protagonist would be LC Mobster trying to retire in Los Santos. As for Los Puerta,i would really like to see San Diego and Tijuana in game but i think unfortunately that Los Puerta is actually GTA name for La Puente, part of Los Angeles: http://www.lapuente.org/default.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Puente,_California There is still hope for San Diego becouse R* said it is a 'reimagined Southern California' but that place would be then called somehow different, like for example San Diablos. There's no way it's based on La Puente as this is a highly insignificant community with a population of less than 40,000 (there are L.A. city districts like Hollywood and Van Nuys with 100,000+). There's no major freeway signs with La Puente on them in L.A. The San Diego theory is much more sound. Doesn't mean San Diego will necessarily appear in the game though. The Los Puerta Freeway goes north and south, a La Puente equivalent would be east of the city's core (the Del Perro Freeway goes that way). Now that I think about it, Harbor Freeway in LA goes north and south so [dumb theory:] they messed up even further with the Spanish and meant to say "Puerto" (meaning port/harbor) instead. The highway obviously mimics it too if you guys didn't already know. Edited January 31, 2012 by boxmonster

USAPatriot
It would be a nice thought . . . but as we all know "doors" are not always open to let us through. These "door" may be closed to the rest of the state.
Dingdongs
Los Puerta = The Doors. The Doors performed a couple of times in Whisky-a-Go-Go (real version of Tequi-la-la) - in fact, it was an LA based band. Okay I'm going crazy. Del Perro means "The Dog", lol. No. "From the Dog". Or "of the dog" as in, it belongs to the dog.

GRINCH ASS BITCH
Just wondering, has anyone in the "Mapping Los Santos" thread been able to pinpoint just where the scene with the Los Puerta freeway is taking place? Just looking at that 1-2 second scene, I always got the vibe that it wasn't actually in Los Santos. If someone has been able to track down its location, props to them. Has anyone discussed the del perro freeway it has it's own freeway like Los puerta You can almost confirm in a way Los puerta is another distric or maybe city cause just like Los Santos there is a south Los puerta and north Los puerta in the scene right at the starT Edited February 1, 2012 by AfroCrew2022

It has been identified to be at the background of the "Ned on a balcony" (not the yoga) scene if my memory serves me right. The building that is visible on the right side of the freeway can be seen in the background of the balcony scene. And from the balcony scene you can see the skyscrapers and from there you can figure out the location/direction.
Buddyelnino28
I don't know what you guys are on but that guys voice had no hispanic accent/sound whatsoever, also if he is from central/south america why did he move for the weather? Finally, someone with sense! Anyone hearing a hispanic accent must be partially deaf or retarded. People like this guy need to get done up GTA style. Predjudice MF-ers . I am white and Hispanic so I really could give less of a sh*t either way though I embrace all cultures. The guy sounds Hispanic, that doesn't mean he is...and maybe we're lucky enough to get more than one character. There were many streets in gta 4 named after chemical elements. These guys make the best video games ever in my mind. They know that grammatically it is "supposed" to be la puerta or whatever. Don't doubt rockstar. Love your brothers as you love your self, whatever color they are or think the voice from the trailer is. And the weather was likely a joke as he said maybe it was the weather....or i dont know that thing. _Jason_
I like the idea of the freeway sign pointing out toward another city!!! It may be another city or it could just be a suburb...Its pointing north when Mexico is south ...who knows... But one thing I know is,,, the main dude is a dude not a gringo!!
