nocunoct
San Diego would be amazing , but from where it's heading from the trailer it's north from Los Santos, so I doubt Los Puerta Fwy would lead there. Also this has probably been stated before but in case you guys didn't know Seoul is the capital of South Korea. So "Little Seoul" may be a changeup from Chinatown we've been so used to from some of the other GTAs Yeah, but that can mean that you're arriving from Los Puerta, or that you're not on the I-5, but that there's an exit that sends you to the freeway. For the Little Seoul part; Little Seoul would be a parody of the real-life Koreatown (I think that's its name) in LA.
coin-god
Caucasian voice? The f*ck? There is no such thing. Your voice depends on wich language you first learnt. I'm a latin american caucasian and guess how my voice sounds when I speak english. And to me the guy in the trailer dosn't sound hispanic at all. And "Los Puerta" is not wrong, it may be a surname like some people mentioned.
Mr Orange
and the hint of hispanic tone in the trailer character's voice No, that is completely in your head. There's no hispanic accent to be traced at all. Actually yeah there is its definitely not a white male speaking when you try to determine someones race from their voice, you're usually thinking in stereotypes which obviously isn't always accurate. could be a 14 year old from vietnam for all we know. Personally im going with the Ned Luke crowd.
downthrough
yeah it has already been confirmed by statements on twitter from friends and relatives of ned luke's that it is indeed his voice in the trailer. not the voice of a hispanic person. locolow2011
I don't know what you guys are on but that guys voice had no hispanic accent/sound whatsoever, also if he is from central/south america why did he move for the weather?

AfroCrew2022
And as another member mentioned awhile ago besides the Los puerta lane, there just appears to be many places that lead to somewhere and I don't just mean the mountains like there is another town or something I mean there are some roads in the trailer that look like they lead to somewhere else beyond the mountains. Aesthetic
Like many say, Los Puerta is bad Spanish, but because "Puerta" is a Spanish surname, it could simply mean "the Puerta family". I'm still hoping that Los Puerta is another city, perhaps San Diego, and still hoping Tijuana is in the game. As for the man's accent, it's too hard to tell. He sounds Hispanic to me. I doubt it would be San Diego as Rockstar usually do something that sounds similar to the city they are basing their places on or is related to the place they are basing on (New York/Liberty City - Statue of Liberty, Miami/Vice City - Miami Vice, Los Santos/Los Angeles - Los, San Fransico/San Fierro - San and both start and begin in F and O respectiveley, Las Vegas/Las Veturas - Las and both start and end in Ve and as respecitveley, California and south west Nevada/San Andreas - the San Andreas Fault) Im not saying I dont want San Diego im just saying if it is in there it isnt Los Puerta. Yeah, but San Diego could be named "Los Puerta" partly because real-life San Diego is considered the door to America for immigrants. This, as he says "came here" it shows the sign. Dingdongs
Gotta love the people in this thread. French and Spanish are very similar and that's what the OP meant. Why don't you go learn a language other than English before you start acting like dickheads about something you don't even know. Anyway, los puerta is not correct Spanish, unless they are referring to a last name, in which case it certainly could be. Una puerta is either a door or a gate as someone said. Gtaghost22
Its pretty obvious that GTA V wont feature only 1 city (los santos).. I'm pretty sure GTA V will feature more than 1 city.. Which ones? I dont know
LTA1992
But you gotta admit it was funny. For the last time, Los Puertas, which should be Las Puertas, is just the name of the highway. Finished, Finito, Fin. Doors Freeway. Simple.
paperbackmummy
This is actually the most clever potential hint for a representation of San Diego that I've read in this forum. Well done! Totally makes sense. I wonder if our protag will get mixed up with Mexican cartels along the way? Could be interesting.

Reiji
Hmmm. now I'm convinced that a small part of San Diego will be in the game. As for the voiceover, I know some Mexicans that does sound like that, but I'm leaning towards the Ned Luke guy.

YukiEiri
As for the voiceover, I know some Mexicans that does sound like that, but I'm leaning towards the Ned Luke guy. I always got the New York mafia feel from the voice. And that would explain the "I guess it was the weather" line as well. But who am I to say, my accent recognition skills are horrible. Still I think he's a New Yo.. Liberty City mobster who wanted to retire to the west and turn legit like one Corleone..
Tipper
I'd love to see a small part of Mexico in V. Of course not as big as in RDR but still, it would definitely add some variety to the map.
JOSEPH X
Weeell... I think it is the Rockstar name for the city (?) town of Ventura which is north of LA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventura,_California I mean what would they call Ventura if it was in the game? Las Venturas? There is a city in Panama called Puerta Ventura, so some bright spark in the office might have got it from that.
ALMOST610
Does this mean people are going to try and convince me that this Freeway is going to lead somewhere other than East Los Santos, i am not saying that it is not going to happen, but without facts we cannot be sure what is going on....... yet. Gege
Los Puerta = The Doors. The Doors performed a couple of times in Whisky-a-Go-Go (real version of Tequi-la-la) - in fact, it was an LA based band. Okay I'm going crazy. Del Perro means "The Dog", lol. MARKUS.
If they put New Yersey as Alderney in Liberty City (New Jersey is another city apart from New York, excuse me if I'm wrong) they could put San Diego as "Los Puerta" in this part of the San Andreas State (California)

Well, "del" could mean from too, but in this case I don't think it has any sense to translate it "From the Dog" I think it doesn't have any translation but I think if we look the option that the spanish pronoun "del" could have a reference to someone's possesion (the dog in this case). I think this is more suitable for this case. Maybe The dog's freeway? I don't know, I repeat I think that it doesn't have a correct translation Believe me. boxmonster
Los puerta is bad written, it should say : La puerta (the door) or LAS puertas (the doors) You know what else is "bad written"? Hey, he makes a good point, I also thought that too. You'd think they'd consult someone who knew the slightest bit about Spanish.

Yep, he was right, Los puerta is wrong, (Los is a masculine article, puertas is feminine and Los is plural and puerta is singular) so he was right it should be La Puerta or Las puertas The spanish's articles are a really pain in ass for someone who speaks english and is learning spanish Edited January 31, 2012 by Markhosdangerous

Wannabe in LS
Not au fait with Los Angeles but are there any areas to the east of the city that are colloquially known as 'The Dog' or any variants of it? Could be a clue to another area if so, going by East Los Santos being located along the Del Perro Fwy.
