dumbassbuffet
san diego has been discussed before and from what i've seen the topic is gaining steam. not 100% sure this has been mentioned in it's own topic but i believe it's worthy of it's own thread. what if los puerta (Which means the door in Spanish if my french is any good) is a representation of san diego being the door into the country. this may explain "why did i move here" and the hint of hispanic tone in the trailer character's voice. mexico is synonymous with crime (at least stereotypically). what do you think of this theory and can we add depth to it? Does that even make sense? french and spanish have many words in common, i know decent french (porte = door = puerta). perhaps the joke sounded better in my head
llpalm08
Los Puerta means The Gate in Spanish so could be the gate to the city/country or could be something to do with where an airport is.

GRINCH ASS BITCH
I do believe that it leads somewhere (my guess would be the country/another small town) simply because of the emphasis that was placed on it in the trailer, as if they were showing you that there's "more" than just Los Santos. San Diego would be nice, but I'm not sure. Instead of getting my hopes up (and risk being disappointed), I'll just stick to my previous theory; it definitely goes somewhere lol. PowerKracker
It's incorrect anyway, just like El Quebrados. Unless there's some hidden meaning that I'm not aware of, they have no excuse for this today. Plenty of people in the world speak Spanish.
matajuegos
Los puerta is bad written, it should say : La puerta (the door) or LAS puertas (the doors)
nocunoct
TO CLEAR STUFF: Los Puerta can be bad Spanish for "The Gates" or "The Doors". It should have been written as Los Puertos (The Docks), Las Puertas or as La Puerta, although the name can still make a little sense because Puerta is also a surname. Los Puerta could be a family for example. There's a large neighbourhood in my city named "Las Puentes" which's name apparently doesn't makes sense, but it's named like that because in the past there was a farm owned by the Puentes family. To conclude, Los Puerta is actually well-written, but only if it's written in the context I'm referencing here. On the topic: I'm 75% sure Los Puerta will be a separate city on V. I hope we'll be seeing San Diego and maybe even Tijuana.

Gege
Los Puerta is definitely misspelled, as the plural would be Los Puertos (The Doors, which I'm listening to right now, lol ). The singular form is La Puerta. Another example of bad Spanish was in GTASA before. But yes, I think it might mean some kind of "door" to the countryside, as the sign points towards north where the mountains are located. Also, the real life Interstate 5 is leading to San Diego, if my memory serves well. Los Puerta could be another town? Death2Drugs
Like many say, Los Puerta is bad Spanish, but because "Puerta" is a Spanish surname, it could simply mean "the Puerta family". I'm still hoping that Los Puerta is another city, perhaps San Diego, and still hoping Tijuana is in the game. As for the man's accent, it's too hard to tell. He sounds Hispanic to me. I doubt it would be San Diego as Rockstar usually do something that sounds similar to the city they are basing their places on or is related to the place they are basing on (New York/Liberty City - Statue of Liberty, Miami/Vice City - Miami Vice, Los Santos/Los Angeles - Los, San Fransico/San Fierro - San and both start and begin in F and O respectiveley, Las Vegas/Las Veturas - Las and both start and end in Ve and as respecitveley, California and south west Nevada/San Andreas - the San Andreas Fault) Im not saying I dont want San Diego im just saying if it is in there it isnt Los Puerta. driftnslide
San Diego would be amazing , but from where it's heading from the trailer it's north from Los Santos, so I doubt Los Puerta Fwy would lead there. Also this has probably been stated before but in case you guys didn't know Seoul is the capital of South Korea. So "Little Seoul" may be a changeup from Chinatown we've been so used to from some of the other GTAs
