miltonlava
Could Microsoft come up with a new internal or external Disc drive could hold up to 5-6 discs on a rotary disc tray that rotates with the press of a button? This would also be useful for future games?

I doubt they would put so much resources for something that would only be used for 2 to 3 years at the most
el_roy1985
If anything, they would just have a separate bluray drive. Kind of like they did when they failed with the HD DVD drive.

dumbassbuffet
much like L.A. Noire, we're looking at at least 3 discs on the 360 but they'll probably optimize it for an HDD install in fact, i think it will be a required install. i don't know about speed, but i do know you can use external drives via USB (maybe the game will come on an external HDD / Flashdrive)
Bath Salt
I had a long ass response written , then my iPod took a sh*t on me and erased it . So f*ck it. I hope they seperate multiplayer & single player on seperate discs. I doubt this'll happen , multiplayer isn't as in depth as other games that require multi discs .... Or will gta v's multi be different? Only time will tell.

Ash_735
Ugh, this thread again, always the same stupid uninformed comments, look, seriously, go read up on the tech, Microsoft have introduced a new reding method on their discs and have got rid of the protection layer, unlocking more space on the discs, when GTA IV and RDR were out, Xbox 360 Discs were locked to a limit of 6.8GB, now they can go up to 7.4GB or more if they pass the tests, meaning at LEAST an extra 600MB of space to use. L.A.Noire was a different case, each disc had the entire City, Models, Vehicles, etc, so the map, and everything you see is the same on all three discs, what's split up is the story, because the cutscenes are animated using MotionScan and to get the animation the way it is took up a lot of space, so cutscenes and in game FMV stuff is what bloated the size causing the story related stuff to be split up. As for the graphics, that's down to how Rockstar program the game, in the past they have been lazy, only Team Bondi have done things properly to ensure the game looks great on both on consoles, Rockstar just work on the Xbox 360 version and do a sh*tty port on the PS3. HOTMILFDAD
Just to clarify: LA Noire was 3 discs because of the motion scan technology. Just look at RDR or GTA IV - 1 disc. If GTA V doesn't implement motion scan, you're looking at a 1 or even 2 disc game at most (depending on how "ambiguous" Rockstar wants to make Los Santos)

Not only is the 360 embarrassing for using multiple discs, you add further insult to injury by asking for rotary disc trays ? Rotary disc trays are like mid-1990s technology, I remember my very old Aiwa stereo system having one!!
ryuclan
I cannot see a rotary disc tray lmao. But if the games are on more than one disc who cares? It didn't bother me on LA Noire, or mass effect.

You are just like the rest of certain guys on here who claim to speak for everybody else who owns a 360 and try to dress up this subject in a nice way, by claiming "nobody cares about multiple discs, I have no problem with it". I have heard this many times on here before, and while you may be ok with it, you need to recognize many other gamers are not, hence why you have the OP asking for rotary disc trays in a 360 !! Listen bro, it is clear to see that many people on here do care, because this subject has been brought up on here many times before, this is like the 4th or 5th seperate thread on this same subject now. That proves it is clearly an issue for many, or it is a clue at least. I'm pretty sure that most gamers would not want to play a GTA game on multiple discs, no matter what console they own, whether its a 360 or even a PS3. I know you are just trying re-assure 360 owners and comfort them about facing up to the possibility of playing GTA V on multiple discs, but you should'nt try and claim that most people are not bothered by the issue. The next Xbox will probably use BluRay anyway. No offence to OP but a rotary in a games console jusy sounds stupid. And LA Noire needs 3 discs on 360? lol wtf, I thought it was bad enough going across the bridge in VC and getting a loading screen for a few seconds, never-mind having to change disc (haven't had to do that since PS or PS2 and hardly any games required that).
