For the description it says this. Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain and extend current network and gameplay systems on Xbox 360 and PS3. https://www.rockstargames.com/jobs/position.../rockstar-north It doesn't say PC, so could this mean GTA5 is not currently being developed for PC? EDIT: There is also one asking for an ai programmer for xbox and ps3. This could mean the game is going to be made primarily for the two consoles. However not necessarily. They could already have a PC multiplayer programmer. (I'm aware that this is akin to when a someone finds their partner's been calling a strange number and their friend suggests that they're throwing them a surprise party, but there you go.) The RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) is extremely hardware intensive Maybe back in 2008, but it's been IV years of updates, progress and optimization done on that engine, and because of those updates, both GTA IV and EFLC run smooth as butter on my PC. Now, R* has proven themselves to be fairly competent at making games, so that's why, because of those sames updates, overall experienced gained and optimization done to the engine, GTA V will also run smooth as butter. (although I'll probably have to upgrade to run it all on max lol) and even the most expensive store bought computers without expensive aftermarket GPUs can't meet the system requirements. I'm sorry but you have to be twelve years old to actually believe this. If the "most expensive store bought computers without expensive aftermarket GPUs can't meet the system requirements", then how in the name of f*ck can a PS3 and a X360 run it? You do realize those consoles were much weaker than any high end PC even by the time GTA IV was released? SecuROM piracy protection was also a disaster for both GTA IV and EFLC. Sure, just as it is bad on almost every game that freaking uses it, however GTA IV had something far more sinister and horrible on it, Games for Windows Live, and the goddamn social club wasn't really helping either. Also, calling pc gamers thieves just shows your ignorance about other people. on topic, i don't think toronto will port V. They gave la noire to leeds, afaik, mp3 isn't being ported by them. Just... stopppp. We who have played on any TOP hardware of ilk, we already know GTA on RAGE is a disappointment for PC gamers, but it's not likely to fail as hard, since they even had a GTAF member from Rockstar who came here expressly for the PC gaming section, and that should aid in what the various hardware issues are, since we've given GTA a test run on a multitude of platforms ourselves, so we've play-tested it and already DISAPPROVE! hahaha BTW, attacking a quote above, SORRY to say, but Games for Windows LIVE is about to become even more of a nuisance since Microsoft plan to evolve the online of XBox LIVE to GfWL and Windows 8 I hear tell, at least with Windows 8 there should be some work done on Games for Windows Live, and Social Club is NOT RELATED, and I happen to like it Edited January 30, 2012 by Slamman Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
