Huh? CJ was an ok character, but not really my favourite, so no I wouldn't "scream with excitement like a little girl" if he returned in person.

I'd have to say no, I think it's time to move on and focus on expanding GTAs' horizons, having CJ in just screams cheap fan service as he like all the other GTAs were more pawns in a much larger story that was created over the course of five games (six counting GTA: Advance), if you play the GTA III era games in chronological order it feels like III should remain the bookend for the era, that era is perfect as is and doesn't need to be messed with for fan service.

I think it'll be intresting just to see how he is doing and maybe he could just make a small cameo like claude did in san andreas its just a nice touch to the game i think. If he dosent appear in the game im pritty sure he'll get a mentioning in the game like an easter egg of some sort

Just have CJ show up as a stranger icon. You have a short conversation with him about something and thats it. It would reveal an insight on his life so far and what he's been up to.

Well, it's not like we could possibly meet him due to all that different universe stuff, but even if R* went crazy and decided to set V in III era, I don't think I'd like to meet him personally. He would probably be a completely different person by now, or he could already be dead. Some references and stuff would be okay, though.

I don't care if we see CJ or not, but I have a feeling that R* will be going back on their "no GTA3 era characters ever again" word, and he probably will show up.

Btw I assume the "RIP GRAFFITI", which included names of Tommy, Claude, Cj, Victor, Toni was a final goodbye and easteregg.

 

The only thing reappearing might be another "CLAUDE outfit" (since he was the first protagonist going 3D?)

 

However, new cast, new characters and story. No point in going back. If someone wants CJ back that bad, go play San Andreas.

No offense that's lame as well, his son? When have u heard of a GTA protag having a kid? Please just no. It will be a small Easter egg like an outfit, a Ballas tag, or something similar. People please realize that's the most you can hope for.

I broke the tie for now in favor of CJ but it's wishful thinking.

 

I'm not going to pretend that it wouldn't be fun seeing him but that's not to say it would be likely nor necessary having CJ in GTAV.
