Suppose as an ingame easter egg they added a track or two of Young Maylays music? Or he could be there to sign off on a HD release of San Andreas as I'm sure if Rockstar is doing that they very well have noticed the controversy surrounding the Silent Hill HD releases and want to make sure they don't have any possible legal troubles in the future, heck they could also have Young Maylay as a cameo in game although as a different but similar character. Really people, this is just grasping at straws, face it CJ, nor anyone else from the III era is likely to return, deal with it. And I don’t get why so many people want CJ, yeah he was ok, and SA was good, but compared to the other protags, CJ is pretty dull IMO. MIKON8ERISBACK Posted January 29, 2012 Share Posted January 29, 2012 The rule with Rockstar Games is that all the characters from the GTA III era of games physically don't exist outside of in game radio and two in game dimensional advertisements. With Grand Theft Auto IV characters, there is an exception to this rule, under the label that both GTA IV and GTA V are located in the HD universe. Whereas GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas are located in the SD (standard definition) universe. The top down/2D games are basically completely forgotten about. I had a theory similar to this, but it was debunked when I was presented with the evidence. To put it simple, CJ is probably dead as a result of something that happened to him in the mid to late 1990s (Rival gang assassination plot anyone?) or he simply doesn't, and/or never physically existed in this "HD universe". There is hope that this much criticized rule may change, but Rockstar Games was extremely paranoid about including anything that may seem repetitive in Grand Theft Auto IV. For all we know he can voice a character who is a enemy to the protagonist or just some mission giver. My hypothesis is that he could be some drug dealer/gang member/gang boss that befriends the protagonist or an enemy. This seems way more logical...Does anybody agree?
