SargeBanner
I know its a pretty simple loop, but imagine scenes gently fading in and out across the loading screens. The groves with pickers, slow panning across the beach, the first scene in the trailer where the camera moves up looking over the palms and onto the cityscape. Shows the more chill and laid back side of Los Santos?
RedLightsBlueNights
Something punk-rock. Oh wait, the 90s are gone and the scene is back underground.

Nigoldeneye
City of Angels by Damian Valentine To Live And Die In L.A by 2Pac Everyone Is Someone In L.A by Felix Da Housecat, now Rockstar could remix this as "everyone is someone in L.S" for the chorus. I'd agree that it has the same style, but it sounds almost nothing like Soviet Connection.
Bantri
Michael Hunter's supposedly leaked song. Sounds exactly like GTA 4's song, just a little bit different. I'd agree that it has the same style, but it sounds almost nothing like Soviet Connection. It's using the same drum samples, with the same reverb and compression, in literally the same beat. I can't hear this song without thinking of GTA 4. All you have to do is replace the melody and it would be the same as Soviet Connection just about. Bantri
Anything but rap. I agree, Rap is too overrated for these games. Pop music wouldn't fit either. I hope rockstar found some good "California" sounding music. Like a modern Beach Boys alternative kind of thing. Something that sounds like the song in the trailer (if not that song). Something where you know instantly "This is GTA", but is not a depressing song.

Something where you know instantly "This is GTA", but is not a depressing song. That's exactly what I was thinking, something that has a beach boys sound. You spoke my mind. I think they should stick with the trailer song. It just fit the whole thing perfectly. It felt like the opposite of the theme music in GTA 4. It felt more upbeat. The theme music in GTA 4 was more depressing. But it fit that game perfectly. Liberty City was a depressing enviroment. Los Santos isn't. So they should use something like the trailer music. R* never fails, so I have faith in them. IMO

RandomNoun
As has been said already, Rockstar are going to retain the vibe of the first trailer. Please, no more of this hip hop and rap crap; we've seen enough of it already (just look at Saints Row!). I'd prefer a hundred times over that Rockstar went back to the borderline cheesy Blondie's 'Atomic' and A Flock of Seagulls' 'I Ran' vibe than have to risk hearing a second of Kanye West whenever I get in a car and some idiot's left the wrong radio station on. Cyfa
I don't know what the theme will or won't be, but after hearing the GTA IV songs that were composed I have complete faith in Rockstar to make another dope theme(s) Seriously GTA IV was some of the best composed music I've ever heard in a video game.
