Theme Music?

Knowing Michael Hunter he can pull it off. He did San Andreas and IV perfectly. The two being two different genre's of music. He could probably do a blend of Hip Hop and Rock into one smooth song if he tried! To me I'm expecting something that sounds like one of the following, but being more upbeat and not purely Hip Hop. Just replace Los Angeles with Los Santos.

All of the Lights by Kanye West. The part about "I had to take him to that Ghetto University" fits perfectly.

That would not fit at all. I like that song, but All of the Lights would NOT fit in a GTA game. Maybe on the radio though.

Seattle Cracker

Odgen's nut gone Flake?

Nah but seriously THIS -

fits the "pursuit of the almighty dollar" perfectly.

Depending on the story line could go well with this one:

this one is also good

most likely the theme song will be specially made for GTA V just like previous games but these could be on the radio or something.

I already posted these in another thread but here they are again.

I think all of them fit the feel of V so far.

Rockstar has always hired composers to make the theme songs for GTA, atleast for, Vice City, San Andreas, LCS, VCS and GTA IV.

Trailers on the other hand use pre-made music from artists.

Anyway, this most likely isn't the theme song, and most likely isn't made by Michael Hunter, i actually think it fits very well:

The theme song of any GTA game has, and always will be, an original score.

This. This is why I think for the 5th game they should just use 'Joy Ride' but whatever.

This sounds like it's MADE for GTA loading screen theme.

This is a video my friend made with the first trailer & the leaked theme (apparenlty).

It goes pretty well together, espically the ending.

Enjoy

Im not attacking you personally, but can you guys please stop posting that same video over and over? it doesnt fit LA at all, and we know for a fact it wont be used, R* brings people in to compose that sh*t. and we have all heard it, trust me.

Thats fair enough in your opinion, but too me it does. Yeah the person used in previous GTA's was Michael Hunter and this sounds similar to his work. But again my opinion, don't like don't listen.

well i say it because they bring people in to make these tracks, they dont use already made tracks, so thats why i THINK (not know) its a fact that this piece wont be used. This really fits LA for you? idk, sounds too arabic for me, i actually think this track wouldve been perfect for 4, but not for LA culture.

The start of it I could see why it wouldn't fit but once it starts to kick in yes I could see this used during the cut scenes. This is a ready made track for something else?, you got a link?.

I think Inner City Blues could work for the South Central and Gateway Cities in Los Santos. The more upbeat "California Love" could be perfect for Santa Monica and Vinewood.

Idk if its being used for other work or not. but what i meant is they dont use pre-recorded work, they bring someone (like michael hunter) to come in and compose something entirely new. so thats why i dont think it will be used for V, lol

But wasn't this track found threw the internet and not assigned to anything yet?. Who's to say it won't or will be used just gotta wait it out. But this is the best thing I've seen related to GTA5 since the trailer even if it isnt used or is fake I still enjoy it.

The 'theme song' will be an original composition, as was the case from III-IV; it'll be written and composed by either Michael Hunter or Craig Conner.

Naturally, Los Santos is a sunnier and more colourful setting than that of Liberty City; the theme itself will most likely reflect this, but will also reflect the storyline. This in itself would depend on how Rockstar interpret Los Santos this time around: will they go for a gritty portrayal, as we saw with Collateral? Or will they settle on the [clichéd] style that Hollywood has made LA famous for? Perhaps a mix? The theme needs to reflect this, as well as the contents of the storyline and the kinds of chracters we'll get.
