For western world politics, the country in terms of corruption and scandals/ red tape is possibly leading right now. • Pizza and Pasta are two very popular dishes and when people say we eat it all the time, for most of it they are not wrong, but of course we eat all sorts of different Italian food and foreign food of course. In Italy regional food is always a big thing, many Italians also love Kebabs! • Silvio Berlusconi has been the longest standing prime minister since Mussolini. His term is now ended and the country is now run by Mario Monti and a Technocratic government. Again to do with politics, there are many different political parties from the far right (Fascists) and the far left (communists) on a lower extent than before, but still there of course. Nicola Cosetino one of Berlusconi's Favorite politicians in his party evaded arrest for Mafia collusion when a secret conference voted that he shouldn't be arrested (Again corruption). • I'm afraid there are quite a lot of bad things about Italy. It has four main Mafia/ Organized crime groups, The Sicilian Mafia (Cosa Nostra), The Camorra, The Ndrangheta and finally the Sacra Corona Unita, whom all in all make a profit of $140 billion annually according to 2012 statistics. • We have many exports, a lot of them being cars such as Fiat, Ferrari e.t.c. • We have a lot of History ranging all the way back from the Roman times, and up to this last century's world war II era. Racism is rife in Italy, especially down south and that's not just me saying that, if you live and study Italy like I do you would definitely agree. I've always wanted to go to Germany, the North seems nice, but I really wanna go to the Bavaria region... seems f*cking amazing. As I was saying, Brazil also has a population of German immigrants in the south... to the point that some towns only speak German, it's truly annoying at times, but I respect their culture. There's some rivalry (business-wise) in the south between those of Italian and German descent haha Some franchise sh*t. @schwbe, haha, I was four when that happened, I swear I didn't remember it.
