grope_4_that_date
I would like to see bounce FM, K-DST and K-ROSE back. And Station with only 80-90s music Rockstar won't repeat their stations. They want their players to experience something new. Plus, because they're going back to San Andreas, I think Rockstar is going to be VERY careful not to make any connection with GTA: San Andreas. So no K-Rose or Radio-X. GTAV will be a new game, and not San Andreas 2.

Patrizio
Here is my idea for a radio station. It mainly uses House and Electronica tracks from the 80s and 90s (and maybe some 00s tracks as well). I tried to include a good variety of pioneering tracks from different areas as well as some more obscure tracks thrown in for good measure. The Acidblock 104.37 Genre: House, Eurodance, Acid House, Electronica M/A/R/R/S - Pump Up the Volume Yazz And The Plastic Population - The Only Way Is Up Rhythim is Rhythim - Strings of Life Primal Scream - Don't Fight It, Feel It Culture Beat - Mr. Vain Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby Snap! - Rhythm Is A Dancer JM Silk - Music Is The Key Fantastic mate! But thats more 90s dance - can't see Rockstar including unfortunately. If we get any electronic music - and we should - it should be a dnb/dubstep to go with the times. Naturally I'd love us to have more than one electronic station, like in GTA III.

InstantCClassic
Without a doubt, there will be a Michael Jackson track in GTA V. I think "I Can't Help It" would be a great fit for a throwback station. Especially with the possibility of the protagonist(s) having a fiance or wife. From 0:10 to 0:19 I can already imagine the host saying "This is such and such radio bringing you the old-school jams..."

kurvenflo
I am hoping for a station like ‘K-Billy Super Sounds of the 70s’ from Tarantinos ‘Reservoir Dogs’, maybe even with Steven Wright as the DJ. ‘Little Green Bag’ - The George Baker Selection ‘Hooked on a Feeling’ - Blue Swede ‘I Gotcha’ - Joe Tex ‘Stuck in the Middle’ - Stealers Wheel And so on…it could include other songs from those music genres that are featured in Tarantino-Movies, like classic-rock, surf rock and Tex-Mex from late 60s to early 70s. It really frustrates me when I see LCHC referred to as a metal station. It's not. The clue is in the title, the host and the songs that are actually on the station. It's as if people just hear guitar and drums and automatically assume "metal lol". Hardcore is a world apart, though it did heavily influence thrash. Hell hardcore began as a reaction against heavy metal (and pretty much all other guitar based music). If they do a Los Santos Hardcore they should try and get Henry Rollins to host it. Seems like the kind of thing he'd relish and he's lived in LA most of his life so he'd add a hell of a lot of funny background. grope_4_that_date
Introduction Hey guys, here's my version of V's soundtrack. You've probably seen this before, but I wanted actual feedback of the stations. Now before you guys say it, I excluded a country station, because I doubt Rockstar will copy San Andreas with another K-Rose station. I tried to pick genre's that we haven't seen before. 'Classic rap' has been done twice, in San Andreas and IV. I read everyone's ideas and it seems they want the stations from old games, but how about something new? Although some of the following suggestions are similar to past GTA radio stations, I tried to find different music that would fit V's story. Let me know what you think please! Don't tell me the worst or the best; tell me both. What's good, what's bad? The ideas I liked from other people were a punk station (the Ramones) and a psychedelic rock station. (both possible stations for V as well) Thanks. Genre: Chillout; Ambient Genre: Bossa Nova; Latin Jazz Genre: Alternative Rock; Funk Rock Click Here for a more indepth look into "Pulse Radio"! Genre: Reggae Fushion Genre: Hip Hop; R&B Genre: 80s Soft Rock; Pop Click Here for a more indepth look into "Ocean FM"! Genre: Roots Reggae Genre: Electronic; Dubstep Genre: Classic Rock; Folk Rock Click Here for a more indepth look into "The Vine FM"! Genre: Smooth Jazz; Cool Jazz Genre: Funk; R&B Genre: Surf Rock; "Oldies" Genre: Swing; Big Band Station Details (KOST) The Vine FM: (replacing K-Rose) Rockstar has had two classic rock stations in a row - and I'm not complaining. However I think they'll take a different approach in V, leaning towards 60s and 70s folk rock. Bands like: Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Black Crowes, Captain Beyond, etc..) This will be the perfect station for those long drives through the pines (a.k.a. National Forests). (KBBS) RAIN 96.1 FM: After the success of Self–Actualization FM and The Journey, I doubt Rockstar would include another ambient station. However, there must be a station specifically for [email protected] internet cafes, shopping centers, elevators, and hotel lobbies across the city. (KDIN) Maraca 680 AM: As the setting is Los Santos, there is no doubt in my mind there will be some Latin taste. I predict they go with 'Bossa Nova', as it's never been done in a GTA game. (KDLD) Pulse Radio 98.3: (hosted by Lenny Kravitz) There's usually an Alternative station in GTAV. I based this station off of early 2000's British alternative rock and American funk rock. There have been a lot of great hits between 2000-2003. We've all forgotten about them, but maybe Rockstar can bring them back! (KEBN) COCO 90.3 FM: Rockstar has never had a station like this before. CoCo FM would provide GTAV with fun, up-beat reggae music. Los Santos is going to be surrounded by beaches, with a possibility of Malibu and long coast drives. So, why not? If they're going to include a reggae station, they should try to capture this tropical, up-beat reggae feel. (KFRT) Relapse FM: I doubt we will get two hip-hop/rap stations, as San Andreas had, because I feel like V is going to tell a different story than San Andreas. However, there's no doubt the ghetto vibe will exist and a hip-hop/rap station is essential. Plus, hip-hop & rap are still popular genres. This most likely will be one of the top stations in the game. (KLOS) ROOTS 103 FM: To capture the feel of ghettos, I do think there needs to be a depressing, old-feel reggae station. If Rockstar goes the Tuff Gone, RamJam approach, they definitely need a better selection of songs. IV's reggae soundtrack was very bland and unexciting. K-SRF 1030 AM: KSRF AM (referred as K-SURF during broadcast) would provide GTAV with an old, "good times" vibe, consisting of 1950s/1960s California surf rock and early-pop oldies. If Ned Luke is around his early or mid 40s, then 'the Oldies' for him would be around this time. (KTWV) JIVE 94.7 FM: JIVE 94.7 FM is a smooth Jazz, cool Jazz, and West Coast jazz station. GTA4 had a few Jazz stations, but JIVE 94.7 FM is nothing like JNR or Fushion FM. GTAV will need an upbeat-instrumental station. Thus I think another Jazz station is quiet possible, especially since this style of jazz has roots in California. (KNSN) PINCH 101.5 FM: PINCH 101.5 FM satisfies the need for a electronic, dance station. This is the music of the current generation, and this genre exploded much after the release of IV in 2008. You can't have a 2013 Los Angeles without this type of music. (KKLA) OCEAN FM: Ocean FM is here for all the Vice City fans. Although GTAV is set in Los Angeles, there are plenty of places here to capture the essence of an 80s Miami. Malibu? Venice Beach? Rockstar may combine their classic rock/soft rock station, but there is definitely an option. (KXOL) DAZZ 95.5 FM: DAZZ 95.5 satisfies my need for a good funk station. Rockstar needs to bring the funk back- and I'm not talking about International Funk! I'm talking about 'Dazz' funk: Billy Preston, Con Funk Shun, The Bar-Kays,... bring back the grooves. (The logo needs to be worked on.) (KFAD) Swing 103.3 FM: Big Band music hasn't been featured in any GTA game. Since we're playing an older protagonist, now is probably the only opportunity for this genre to make it into a GTA game. Plus, besides Los Santos and Liberty City, I really can't see this genre being played in another other city. Plus, it might be a little tip-of-the-hat to Rockstar's previous work, LA NOIRE. Hey, trust me, I would love nothing more than to listen to American Nightmare, Converge, Modern Life Is War and Bane in GTA V but it's not going to happen just because of the setting and place. If it really were to happen, we'll probably see the likes of Terror, Trash Talk, Black Flag, Bad Religion, etc. Has R* ever been one to stretch the same radio station across different GTA games though? There's certainly none I remember. If we do get any form of punk/hardcore station it'll be a mockery of KROQ, but I don't personally have high hopes for a return of LCHC, and if we do it, it'll be a metal station because that's what everyone referred to it as. I really hated the added music to LCHC in the TLAD/TBoGT. Death metal really blows the big one.

Lock n' Stock
Okay, I've posted 80s station concepts before but I feel this could be my best one. It's primarily New-Wave/Synthpop though the only song I don't think classifies under that genre is "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins. Since this song would be incredibly fitting for flying fighter jets (considering its from Top Gun) I put it in anyway. Not like Rockstar will use this concept but then again its just for fun. I don't think "Just Dance" by David Bowie is New-Wave either but I thought it would fit the atmosphere. I complied this list from some of the 80s albums I own, some choices inspired by other lists, a couple of songs that were cut from Vice City FM in EFLC and some of my own personal choices. I tried to include bands and artists that haven't been featured in previous games. How they managed to leave out Duran Duran in both Vice City games and the Vice City FM station in EFLC is beyond me. I also might have gone a little overboard with the number of songs but tell me what you think. Retrowave 104.57 Genre: New-Wave, Synthpop, Post-Punk, Post-Disco, Pop Rock Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf Eurythmics - Here Comes the Rain Again Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome Heaven 17 - Let Me Go Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone Madonna - Material Girl Simple Minds - Glittering Prize Soft Cell - Tainted Love Spandau Ballet - Instinction Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes Edited September 29, 2012 by Gst0395

na89340qv0n34b09q340
I created horrible horrible stations in a concept thread I made a year or so ago, hopefully I have better ideas now. Also note that the songs I provide are only examples of the genre/feeling, I doubt R* would ever consider a lot of them. Underground Sound A station for progressive hip hop. The DJ is high all the time, but he's one of those stoners that get really wise and insightful. The Co-Host is a socialist and likes to attempt to talk politics with the stoner, and she gets pissed off at him for being high all the time. They also talk sh*t about whatever mainstream hip hop station DJ ends up in the game. MF Doom - Rap Snitch Knishes Aesop Rock - The Harbor Is Yours Smooth Scratches A station for turntable music, sampling-based music that isn't hip hop, and other miscellaneous electronic genres. This one'd be a huge problem for r* because of all of the sampling. Kid Koala - Basin Street Blues DJ Spooky - Ibib Flying Lotus - German Haircut That's about all I've got right now. Captari_E92
I would love to have the majority of these songs in the game, espcially the modern, punk, and alt. rock ones.... But most of these artists are really famous, should i say. COrrect me if i am wrong, but aren"t famous songs more expensive to obtain licenses for? I dont think Rockstar would put that much capital into that department.
