DEED
I used to lurk these forums back then, wasn't until SA that I created an account. Come to think of it I still mostly just lurk. I've known of some of these posters. It's sad, life can be pretty unfair to some.
Slamman
Sure things go off-topic Understatement of the century. Yo, bitch, I already got temped for this, Supposedly Hi-jacking the thread, However, I personally don't have any idea what that means, since most replies in here are about as important and noteworthy as anything I contribute Attorney General is biased, and this is fact, since he blocked me, and wouldn't offer reasons

mike39
I got a question. What are the most important things you've learned about life? We only get a little bit of it, and it's just for fun. Do what you want. The past few generations have grown up with this idea that someone out there knows best; that, as a society - as a whole, we've got it figured out. Parents, teachers, and elders will always try to force their idea of success down your throat. There is no 'right' way to live your life. Conventional thinking leads to a conventional life. From what I can see, most people aren't that happy. Seek your passions and ignore as much as you can of what other people are saying or doing. I'm fgcarva1, mostly known as Carva, nice to meet you. It's been almost 4 years since the last GTA came out, but I did play that one. When they make a new one, I'll buy it and play it, and probably get bored of it just as quickly. I don't have much time for video games, unfortunately. mike39
Where were you in life then, and where are you now? I was a shy, introverted kid. Freshman in high school, no friends, etc. I wasn't great academically, despite high aptitude scores. It looked like I wasn't really going anywhere. I'm in my mid-20's now. I'm outgoing, extroverted. I own a few small companies. I moved out to southern California. I'm pretty happy. Things get better.

mike39
This is just a random thought, but I would definitely encourage all younger kids to interact more during their formative years on message boards. A virtual community helps in so many ways, from encouraging good behavior, responsible discourse, proper spelling and grammar, etc. Obviously there's a lot more to socially engaging others in real life, but this comes more naturally to many people. I went the other way around, not really getting 'good' with people until my late teens.
trip
A virtual community helps in so many ways, from encouraging good behavior, responsible discourse, proper spelling and grammar, etc. Wow, man - that is really something to think about. I was lucky enough to be one of the first kids on the block with a 300 baud modem long before the internet, so I'm not like an 11yr old kid that grew up with internet. Oddly enough I was hardcore internet anti social after it grew out of it's static stage. This is actually only the 2nd forum community I've taken part in. You can witness first hand how people change from when they first start interacting (and getting scolded and called out) here. sh*t...you even see people post that they will try harder to be better. You witness first hand people improving their spelling and grammar - I know I have(tried at least). You have people dedicating complete threads to apologizing, claiming they are willing to change into a better person. Wait...there are even a number of people who start completely new accounts to bury their old identities. If you haven't already check out the sociology book Born Digital. Jimmy_Leppard
Well, I don't know what's the big deal? You ain't gonna get a medal or anything similar. I mean, I don't think anyone cares.. I see that in 10 years, you've managed to collect around 5,500 posts. That means you probably made an account 10 years ago and didn't even come here for the first couple of months or so.. Or you probably had couple of long breaks during this 10 years. You know, it's easy to make an account on a forum, visit it once or twice every couple of weeks and then say you've been here for 10 years. Anyway, good for you. If that's how you wanna look at it. Los Santos Pedestrian
Thought I'd give you some info about the GTA V section. That place is the U.S. Congress of the internet. There's always a brainless argument going on over there, many times between these two complete idiots: Zee and JoanCrawford. Both of them have even attempted to 'boycott' Rockstar just because they haven't had info about the game in two and a half months. <unexplainable amount of facepalm> Anyway, my suggestion is to just never go to that section until the game is released. The same type of bullsh*t we're seeing right now is what we'll see when GTA VI is announced.

GTA3Rockstar
Why you come back after leaving in 2001? He didn't leave in 2001, he joined in but he hasn't came around much in the past few years. I emailed whoever the Webmaster was long, long ago. I actually just recalled whatever PW I was using, thankfully He could have been lurking without logging in as well, we all have at some point
