They can do whatever, I don't really care anymore seeing as Max payne 3 will undoubtably be a flop. They'll learn after they have massive financial losses and the shareholders start to pull out. They obviously knew max Payne was going to be their focus. in which case,.why did they bother announcing V and the trailer? I would have preferred nothing at all until they knew exactly what was going on especially in terms of giving us a release date, year, century... It's no surprise we are pissed off being the little pawns in their max Payne marketing games.... I understand what you're saying. Honestly, I wasn't even bothered about GTA:V at the time that it was announced; it was a complete surprise to me. Knowing that they purposely used the attention that it brought to try and hype up Max Payne 3 (even though a few around here are still trying to deny it) while starving us for 3+ months, it definitely doesn't feel good. On the other hand, we'll most likely be getting some info within the next month or so, then it's going to be another long period of nothing. I'm pretty sure the first trailer and announcement wasn't supposed to lead to a marketing campaign and release of the game... to me it was more like "Hey, it's been a while, but we're coming back!" I believe they have no intentions of releasing it anytime soon, they will work on MP3, then they'll take a while to finish V so that it looks good enough and plays well enough for the fans of the series. As for the impatient fans, they have to realize all this boycotting nonsense screws R*'s work on MP3 and V up. All these speculations and sh*t. People have to let R* take their time in finishing their games so that they are as good as they can be. Personally, I was surprised by R*'s announcement of GTA V, I was expecting it for 2012 or 2013. I still have fun with IV and play it whenever I can, so I'm not too bothered by the wait on V, however when you really think about it or watch the trailer, the anxiety comes back... but I guess we all just have to be patient. Clearly this person has no idea what it takes to run a business first of all and second of all I'd rather have a game that plays AND looks really well instead of playing a game that looks like crap IMO. Also I think this comment gets to the heart of the matter. ell guess what? Rockstar doesn't give two flying f*cks that you want V now, And that's the real problem isn't it? Because it's not just me who wants V right now. It's also 20 million consumers who regularly buy Grand Theft Auto. I could see if I was a lone wolf out of 7 billion people, and everyday I came on here demanding GTA V right now and no one else cares, but that's not the world we live in. The bottom line of this is that when GTA was closer to an "annual" franchise the best GTA's were made. Vice City was what? Only 7 months after 3. San Andreas (in my opinion the best GTA) was only a year or so from what I remember and the day after SA came out GTA Advance also came out. If more GTA's were being made that's not a bad thing, and is actually closer to how the GTA franchise used to operate. IF Rockstar would only find their way back home, a lot of these problems wouldn't be happening. Also it's kind of sad that Rockstar's reaction to people getting mad is threatening to shut down their accounts. I mean talk about making a sh*tty situation worse. Its their whole PR thing, its just out of sync with itself. They use all these dull corporate standard answers, and end up having to f*cking re-explain themselves after (see the 'Surrounding countryside and beaches' incident). Meanwhile, Houser and co think they still have that cool maverick edge they had in the III era. No lads, you dont. You cant put bullsh*t past the fanbase and pretend youre mysterious. You know how GTA IV was delayed seven months? That was to actually put more content into it and fix everything. If Rockstar went and released it that early, we'd have a sh*tfest of glitches and the game freezing, along with a much larger lack of content. If you work for six years on the RenderWare engine and then suddenly go to the RAGE engine, it's R*'s equivalent of going from the dark all night into broad daylight. It takes a while to adjust. Remember GTA III? It had a huge lack of content after the storyline, so did Vice City. That was due to them being used to a 2D perspective GTA. Rockstar finally put a lot of content into San Andreas.
