Mince
guys, i just found this while searching through the internet, and surprisingly, its new news. http://www.officialplaystationmagazine.co....for-march-2013/ I didn't even read that post due to the question mark in the title. And I'm glad Rockstar has said something to the idiot fans to calm them down.

The same ones who said that GTA:V was going to come out in May 2012. also note, Max Payne 3 is delayed too.

no_chance
i just thought this should be put in the "official info" thread or have one of it's own.... While we’re glad that there’s so much ongoing enthusiasm and excitement here for GTAV, understand that further info and details about the game will only come in due time when we are ready to talk and show more. However, for those of you crossing the line with abusive language and behavior here, or calling for a boycott of Rockstar or other such nonsense – be advised, you will have your commenting privileges revoked. Everyone else, just hang tight and thanks for your patience! Rockstar Games at least they finally broke the silence. but hey, what do they expect after nothing for months? here is the link http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/arti...-v-trailer.html That's not good now they can confirm there fans are complete retards
LotusRIP
guys, i just found this while searching through the internet, and surprisingly, its new news. http://www.officialplaystationmagazine.co....for-march-2013/ What a misleading title, the article doesnt suggest anywhere about a 2013 release... It actually suggests that V will probably be released later this year and in time for Christmas.
gmcb007
Grand Theft Auto is a game. Not medical results or an overdue pay check. People have no right to get impatient over it and hurl abuse at the ones who actually make the game possible!

LotusRIP
I just don't like that they would tease us with a trailer for a game that looks near finished, when they clearly had no intentions of following it up with some, or any, more info months later. They obviously knew max Payne was going to be their focus. in which case,.why did they bother announcing V and the trailer? I would have preferred nothing at all until they knew exactly what was going on especially in terms of giving us a release date, year, century... It's no surprise we are pissed off being the little pawns in their max Payne marketing games.... Considering the game is in shops display boxes for pre order, the announcement and trailer, they owe it to us to inform us about their release schedule or ANYTHING really. Now it is in the public domain, they have no right to keep it in secrecy and wonder why their fans are getting impatient. Honestly, I wasn't even bothered about GTA:V at the time that it was announced; it was a complete surprise to me. Knowing that they purposely used the attention that it brought to try and hype up Max Payne 3 (even though a few around here are still trying to deny it) while starving us for 3+ months, it definitely doesn't feel good. On the other hand, we'll most likely be getting some info within the next month or so, then it's going to be another long period of nothing. Mister Pink
Some people wont be happy til gta is a yearly update game Maybe typical reading to deep but that statement gives me the impression there is no set date info for new info or trailer No, I think it's the wait. For a lot of people IV didn't live long like say San Andreas did. We had DLC but it's in the same monotone city. For long term fans we had III then a year or so later Vice City then 2 years later San Andreas then it slowed down, 4 years for IV now nearly 4 years for V. When you think about it. If V is just L.A. then in about 8 years we would have only visited two cities in 8 years if the next GTA isn't out til 2016. It can be argued we didn't get a follow up to San Andreas, if you will. I'm using it as an example. As in each GTA came packed with more and more features and just seemed to double where IV contracted, with features and map size. Some people feel there hasn't been a proper GTA since San Andreas. Its an exaggeration but it people feel that way. I love GTA too much to say something like that or to be affected by it but I do understand why people feel like that. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
Lelouch The Zero
it could also be released on next-gen consoles, just like some of you have been speculating. Some believe it may come out upon the release of the Wii U. this article explains some of this, although it may just be speculating, like we've been doing. http://www.gamezone.com/news/slow-down-on-...r-tweaks-job-ad

DISHMASHER
We will just have to sit tight and let R* do their thing. I remember the long and grueling wait for IV, it's already almost 4 years since IV's release. Some people may be overreacting, but I find some of the thing's people do to kill time rather interesting, like the theories on this forum, I don't care what the theory is, I am always interested in peoples' theories. So we'll just have to wait until R* thinks its the right time for more info. Until then, we should just share our views and ideas right here on this forum. S1LV3R_W0LF
lol they just felt scared because people started thinking about a boycott, something like that near their huge release would be a disaster. Face it they gave us GTAV to call us to their page, nothing else, and with another delay ... it's pretty much all settled, we won't hear from GTA V till end of May start of March. They're just using GTAV as a marketing tool for Max Payne 3, though it is a good game but just the fact that they are doing that is just getting everybody mad (i'm one of those). But well, I guess the "due time" will be before May 15 Nice finding btw
CrzChris4
No good reason? How about the development of other titles? Not a good enough reason for you? CrzChris4
Stupid marketing. "Oh yeah, let's take all the attention off of this game right here and give it to this game here." Sounds logical and smart. The only way Volition can get away with it is because a) their games don't sell as well, and b) one of them won't completely overshadow the other. Gangsta-NL
Good job by R*. Showing information this soon will obviously be a mistake if the game isnt ready yet... You can clearly see in the GTA V trailer that it lacks some 3d models & it has some bugs.

On the same token, this is why R* need a better strategy if they want to keep exploring other franchises. If it wasnt for GTA, theres no way the other R* studios would survive all these delays and f*cked up timing issues.
