Check out any forum for a game that was released before it was ready, and you will see legions of people upset because they purchased an unfinished game full of glitches that cannot always be addressed through patches. One QUICK example: NASCAR The GAME 2011. It is full of glitches and features that just don't work as intended. They have since issued 3 patches, and there is STILL a huge backlash from fans. The developer is currently working on the next version of the game, and the vast majority of people on the forum are BEGGING them to take as long as they need to, in order to get it right. I (most likely) won't be buying the game new, but not out of spite, or anger. I don't have a PS3 and my 360 broke a while ago. On top of that, my cpu can't even handle GTA:IV, so it'd probably file a lawsuit against me if I tried to run GTA:V on it lol. They could probably make GTA every other year but whats the point of sh*tting out half ass games and rehashes just to make some cash? every single one of their games can easily become a cash cow but they take their time and try to do it right. More developers should be like them. Yeah I would like a little info too but I got too much on my mind to let the lack of it bother me. And yeah I get that too, but that still doesn't account for the massive time gap between GTA IV and today. The gap between VC and SA was about a year and a half. That's reasonable, but more than 3 years? That's insane, infact it will be 5 years by the time GTA is released in 2013. So what does that tell us? That means they got side tracked from the main show, something that didn't happen in the 3 era and shouldn't be happening right now. nd for the record R* DID NOT DEVELOP LA Noire Rockstar North, which creates GTA, helped Team Bondi finish L.A. Noire. They could probably make GTA every other year but whats the point of sh*tting out half ass games and rehashes just to make some cash? Did you consider Vice City half assed? What about SA? What about LCS or VCS? No? That's what I thought, because guess what? Vice City was released only 7 months after 3 and it was one of the best GTA ever made. Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 They know people will SAY they won't buy the game, but when it finally releases, those same people who said that they wouldn't buy the game will be first in line. It's not a question of buying the game or not. It's a question of buying it new, in which part of the profit goes back to Take Two or just buying it used in semi-boycott. And you, I assume a fan of the series, would suffer for your own doing since (if it became common place) it would mean no money for R*, which means no games. More like it would teach them a lesson. Yeah! Let's teach THEM a lesson! Let's make them..go..bankrupt? So WE can't enjoy anymore games from a great company? Damn this plan would bite us right in the ass. They aren't going to go bankrupt just because of that. Dan Houser would just cut back a bit on buying all of those mansions and sports cars and everything would be fine. But, it will severely affect their sales. I keep seeing you post about how Rockstar (and Dan Houser) only care about the money, yet that completely contradicts what they're doing (and have been been doing in the past). If that were the case, GTA V would've been released by now and they would be pumping out half-assed GTA titles every 1-2 years like EA/Activision does with games like Madden and Call of Duty, not the complete opposite of waiting 5 years between GTA games and launching other titles/new IPs which make them considerably less money. R* North [bold]helped[/bold] on LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption after both dev teams failed to deliver. I'm just saying that they are doing what they can. Just because you guys feel you're entitled to something doesn't mean you're going to get it. I'm just glad there IS a GTA on the way because I know they wont be making them forever. Exactly they won't be making GTA forever, which is why so many of us want them to make more of them before they decide to stop. San Andreas, GTA IV. Those two were only the tip of what they can do.
