Triple Vacuum Seal
People hitting the nail on the head. R* can neglect the GTA fan base knowing they'll buy the game anyway and that frustrates the fans making them feel used and unappreciated. If it is possible to crank out a high quality open-world 3rd person crime adventure to compete with GTA (Not Saint Row...a serious quality game)...then things would get interesting because R* just doesn't have any competition to answer to that will take its fan base. 73duster
Because they think that they can do whatever they want and that we will all still buy the game. because they CAN do whatever they want and we WILL still buy the game. including you. that is why you are here. lol Yeah, because you know me better than I know myself. I know it seems like they can do whatever they want, but people will not continue to buy from them if they continue this trend of ignoring newer markets and current markets. Also, not everyone is an avid GTA fan. We only make up a small portion of their consumers. Most people who buy the game have little to no experience prior to the games release. How is this sector of the market supposed to expand if they don't release information on the game? Promotion is an important element in the infamous "Marketing Mix", and it can not just be ignored. Hit the nail on the head. R* can neglect the GTA fan base knowing they'll buy the game anyway and that frustrates the fans making them feel used and unappreciated. If it is possible to crank out a high quality open-world 3rd person crime adventure to compete with GTA (Not Saint Row...a serious quality game)...then things would get interesting because R* just doesn't have any competition to answer too that will take it's bases. Why do fans NEED to feel appreciated? Someone makes a product. You buy that product. What is this rediculous NEED to have your ass kissed for buying a product? If you don't like or want something, DON'T BUY IT. Nobody believes the phony threats of those claiming they will go away if they don't get WHAT they want, WHEN they want it. I was just explaining the logic of those who are pissed since people on here think that it is appalling to see anti-R* comments and what not. I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't know why people treat R* as if they're the anti-christ. There are developers who are probably a lot worse. In the 14 years of being a GTA fan never once have I felt used or under appreciated.
D-man7
I'am not going to speculate because thats all it would be ' speculation' we know nothing about R* plans and just because MP3 is coming may GTA5 can still come out this year most sales occur in the first 10 weeks anyway la noire sales so maybe GTA5 will come in July or October or maybe it wont who knows? Guanxi
In a way i'm rather glad that GTA V [probably in all honestly] won't ship this year because it wouldn't really be fair to the other TTWO interactive studios who have landmark titles coming; it would be commercial suicide for Gearbox and 2K to have Bioshock: Infinite and Borderlands 2 competing against GTA V for marketing expenditures, potential sales and media coverage. Gearbox and 2K don't deserve that kind of treatment when we're talking about probably two of the best games of the generation. Not only that but GTA IV really wasn't ready.... it was bare-bones as all hell and I'd really hate for R* to make that mistake again. Hell May, 2013 is too soon... it's probably for the best so we can have another San Andreas on our hands and not another GTA IV.

Don't bother trying to make sense out of it. For one thing, she is pissed off at Rockstar, but cannot restrain herself from obtaining their product altogether. She thinks that she is making some kind of big statement by getting the game used, as if that will somehow prove something. Normally, when people have an issue with a company, they simply would'nt buy their product AT ALL. Lastly, anyone who believes that she will wait beyond the first day it's available is as delusional as she is.

Its certainly popular and well regarded, but Max Payne has never been a mammoth seller. Except that you don't REALLY know why MP3 was postponed. Many games get postponed for different reasons. GTAIV was postponed because it was'nt ready, and THAT is the reason being given for MP3's release date postponement. I guess you think Rockstar did'nt know Mass Effect's release date, and only you knew about it? Why would you rather believe the absurd theory that Rockstar was caught by surprise with Mass Effects release date, instead of taking their word that the game just was'nt up to their standards of being right?
