zeppelincheetah
yuck. to each his own. the 80's is my least favorite decade of rock. I'd like another 90's rock or indie rock station. or 60's psychedelic.

Raptomex
80s metal is the best. Thrash for life but a glam metal station would be awesome, too.
CryptReaperDorian
I don't know all of my genres too well, but how many bands are still around from the 1970s and the 1980s? I know Accept is still around. They had a few hits like "Balls to the Wall" and "Fast as a Shark". However, I know that they aren't glam metal. I'd say two of my favorite glam metal bands are Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister, but R* already gave them quite a bit of attention in both GTA VC and GTA VCS. Also, I just listened to this. I love Bad Company!

Mötley Crüe song Saints Of Los Angeles song would be great for the game considering of what city is parodies. XD I seen Mötley Crüe during their S.L.O.A tour too and it was just epic, they are my favorite metal band.
Auzas
I'd definitely like a glam rock/metal station, but I'm not sure if it would fit in the game. Then again, I don't know the vibe that the game will have. So yea, why not, glam rock/metal is great and there are bands even now that are doing a great job. For example The Darkness or Steel Panther. Well, Steel Panther is more of a parody, but they're still awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGPyUSVtpZM& I must be retarded. I can't seem to figure out how to embed a video here. Of course, it would be better if in case they do include a glam rock/metal radio station that they concentrate on the classics. Barguast
I'd love to see it, but I doubt it'll appear. Vice City remains my favourite GTA for the 80s feel, and rock music of that era - as well as the cheesy pop - was a big part of it. However, in this day and age the kidz are brought up on thick aural sludge and simply can't appreciate how awesome it is. I went to see Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Steel Panther last month - pure crystalline awesomeness. It is scientific fact that if you do not like this kind of music, you are mentally deficient. And you can't argue with scientific fact.
Mokrie Dela
........And you can't argue with scientific fact. No you can not. 80s music has something 60s, 70s, 90s and modern has not. I've no idea what, but its like a pasta dish, one made with a myriad of ingrediants such as herbs, one just made with a bland sauce. As you eat, you've no idea what it is, but one of them has something the other doesnt. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. I think I really should thank my parents for raising me up listening to truly good music from decades past ... BTW, I'm just 22 years old, but, yeah, whenever I go out with some friends from college, 98% of them want to go to clubs that play "shiny, happy, Top 40 sh*t", as Iggy Pop on LRR so rightfully said... But, I digress, so back to topic now ! I would especially enjoy this song:

KevinR1990
Glam/hair metal was pretty much the "LA sound" for much of the '80s. Van Halen, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Great White, Ratt, W.A.S.P., all of them and more came from the Sunset Strip club scene. Seeing as how the Whisky a Go Go (or the "Tequi-la-la") is going to appear in the new Los Santos, it looks like Rockstar is aware of this. Not only would a new incarnation of V-Rock fit perfectly, I'm almost expecting it. It could be this game's classic rock station; maybe throw in a couple NWOBHM songs to diversify the playlist. Hell, have Lazlow host it to make it a real throwback to Vice City. And the bands on this station? See my list above. Hell, they could use Crue's "Saints of Los Angeles" as the theme music for the next trailer.
CryptReaperDorian
Ah yes, Warrant! My friend's dad apparently went surfing (or something similar to that) with them. @Mokrie Dela: I wouldn't say that the 1980s had something the 1970s didn't have. I actually find those two decades to very similar, and the rock from the 1970s is oftenly grouped with the rock from a decade after.

Slamman
Glam Metal is what is called "Hair Metal" even by those who enjoy it, just because it's specific enough for people to GET the idea, there's good and bad music wise, but always some 80s fashion "sense"! haha Well, Hair Bands anyway Jane's Addiction falls into a relevant Rock band that morphed from their 80s origins, this is amazing studio footage with Dave Navarro looking unlike he does these days!
