Glam Metal/Rock Radio station?

I would like to see a glam metal station for V as most metal glam bands originated in Los Angeles. Am talking about: Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Def Leppard among others. This station will have a similar feel to V-Rock of vice city, but this would be a separate sation from classic rock. Here are a few ones out of the top of my head:

I'm a 90s Rap fan, but sure, a radio station would be great. Vice City had awesome rock songs. There's good songs in every music genre. (Except Electro biggrin.gif)

Hell yes. It would be awesome for me to listen to another station besides the classic rock, Heavy Metal, and Lazlow. That's usually what it's been for the past few gta games (Except in Vice City, where those were all one thing.)

Although I seem the most ardent in favor of such things, there are more RAP and Hip Hop GTA fans here then any other, even though some here also enjoyed original SA's country station, I'm in favor of things like Alice Cooper who took part in the glam origins as well as KISS, already previously licensed to bands like Stryper and Angel.

V-Rock would cover all this, with some "House of Hair" (Dee Snider's radio show) leanings as well.

^ I posted that before.

I remember in High School or some such, someone had an ANGEL poster in their school locker, this had to be 1979 or something, long, long ago in my youth!

hahaha

CD or LP skipping on the second track??

Oh, Australians better know of the Angels, in the USA, known better as Angel City!

I wouldn't mind a radio station in Grand Theft Auto V that caters to heavy metal, but I think that because the game is going to be set in the present day (before anyone says otherwise, read the official announcement for Grand Theft Auto V), I think having two such radio stations would be the way to go - one for the older style of heavy metal (i.e; V-Rock like station that plays stuff like, for example; Ozzy Osborne, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Anthrax, etc) and a radio station that caters to the newer style of heavy metal (i.e; a Radio X or L.C.H.C-type radio station that plays stuff like, for example; Escape The Fate, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, etc). Also, the chance for humor would be there too because of the fact that they could have the two radio DJ's slagging each-other off regularly while on-air because of the type of music that each play.

In all though, I am all for having a separate radio station in Grand Theft Auto V that plays less-mainstream and/or heavier music then a typical classic rock station. Grand Theft Auto IV had this with L.C.H.C and Liberty Rock Radio (particularly with the Lost and Damned) so I don't see why Grand Theft Auto V won't do the same.

It's a good chance, a VERY GOOD CHANCE GTA V will have music in keeping with the trailer theme.

What I hope and expect/suspect...is music for the Country locales in GTA V's revisioned Los Santos, we know there will be something outside of Los Santos

yeah maybe its a rock station overall but that station could cover power ballads during night time hour and glam metal right before evening- i would like to see that

why not not? you dont have to like listen to it but in all honesty alot of the songs from this genre are better than some cr&p from today am pretty sure you would like this:

STEEL PANTHER! biggrin.gif

They're quite a modern glam metal band so would probably fit the setting of V better, assuming it's set in current day...

Steel Panther I liked them when they were called Love Fist lol jk. I'd love a station like this and a great setting like SA is perfect since most of those bands started on the Sunset Strip. I'd do one better and have a random stranger mission where u work for an old washed up hair metal singer, sh*t get David Lee Roth to play him it'd be an awesome nod to that time.

Triple Penetration

I like New Wave/Alternative/Psychedelic Rock/Nu-Metal and Electronic Rock, so Glam Rock isn't quite my cup of tea coffee, but I like some songs of the genre, such as Alice Cooper and the likes. I think I might even like them more when playing GTA.

As that always happened to me, except with Rap or Hip Hop, because that never related to me.

I think there'll be some deviation from past stations, but some are just STANDARDS, like commercial A-listers in musical genres, Some more 60 or 70s flavor is over-due

I have to apologies to you Leyja. I just saw the word "Metal" and was like 'not in my GTA!'. Cause whatever way you look at it, a lot of people really don't like metal, so why would you put it in any GTA? I think the songs on the stations from previous GTA's everyone liked to some degree.

I came back to this topic cause the 'glam' bothered me and I know Ozzy isn't hard Metal, but I thougt Def Leppard was, which it obviously is not, now I listened to it. I actually really liked it lol biggrin.gif so obviously I was to narrow-minded and yeah they can put it in from me.

And actually, altough I have a very large range of musictaste, I didn't like that Justin Bieber song Leyja, sorryyyy!

House of Hair is Dee Snider (Twisted Sister frontman)'s radio show, long running, and rather excellent program, but their title should be less generic then what might actually exist, but obvious V-Rock is a take on Z-Rock as mentioned, and it's pretty close to the actual radio show, but having the Vulture mascot and Lazlow Jones' amazing voice for it, to me it was a Homerun for Rockstar to parody and satire

I'd love to see this song finally make the Lime Light!

Classic BREAD, they rock out on this one...
