cherrycola
R* never disappoints w/ GTA major releases. I do think that this waiting culture forced onto loyal GTA fans is annoying since... GTA 3 - 2001 1 year wait GTA VC - 2002 2 year wait GTASA-2004 3 year wait delayed 4 years GTA4 - (2007) delayed 2008 4-5 year potential wait GTA5 - 2012? (too long?) The differential in release dates is constantly increasing. And the games are constantly improving. R* North have been working on other projects since 2008 though. They've had the episodes, Agent, contributed to RDR and probably LAN and MP3 too. In fact I'm still a bit surprised GTA V is actually coming this gen. Zee
I cant wait till the shareholders hear about the loss of all of 2012. Think about that for a second. Ash_735
I've never played any of the Max Payne games ever in my life, and I already despise the series because of what its doing to the GTA V projected release. I absolutely refuse to ever play MP3, simply out of spite. Hahaha, oh man, that's good, You've never played the series, but you hate it because you THINK it messed with this forums little GTA V rumour of that impossible May release? GTA V was never going to hit in May and you sad assholes who were begging and convincing yourselves that it would be just got a smack of reality to your head, deal with it. bluesboyjr
Fun fact: Max Payne 3 was supposed to come out in winter 2009, so you can't really expect them to throw it out the window just for you guys. If anything, blame Rockstar Vancouver for taking so long. But they did make Bully, so they are automatically excused.

I absolutely refuse to ever play MP3, simply out of spite. That's laughable. Believe it or not, MP does have a decent enough following that R* doesn't really need your money or time. And what projected release? May was never going to happen. Those idiots who started the May thread were only fooling themselves. Based off some numbers off a god damn sidewalk. Oh relax, let me vent. Yes its an overreaction but its my initial reaction over this news. And I never said that I'm trying to crush MP over this or anything, just that I simply have a hate-on for it right now. ...and you'd be grumpy too if you had to go outside in 5 min to warm up your car in -32C (actually given the flag under your name, maybe you do too) OH, alright, I went a little too hard on that reply All good, dude. ...and thank Jeebus my car started. EDIT: You know its cold out when your boogers freeze when you're only outside for 2 minutes. Good times. Fraizer
Cut to 2020: "People need to chill the f*ck out. So what if V hasnt been released yet, we need to keep the faith alive! Maybe if we make ourselves sub bottom slaves, R* will love us!" 2020? This is GTA V we are talking about, not Half Life 3. I think most of you complaining about Rockstar now are idiots. Swear off the game all you want, you will end up buying it when it comes out. I'll be getting Max Payne 3 after it is released as well. I agree. I doubt there's not one single person who comes and checks the GTA V forum everyday who wont buy it regardless if they wait another year or so. You have to understand, that not everyone who is a GTA fan would do that. there are more people out there that do not visit this site at all. People that will not wait so long, people that require a certain amount of info about the game before they spend 60 dollars on it. The GTA universe does not revolve around this website... If Rockstar was banking on just every user on here purchasing the game, they would be closed in no time. My point being that just because there are people on here patient enough to wait forever for new info doesn't mean that everyone will be. Even hardcore gamers will be lost as potential customers to buy the game. Leading them to spend money on other products in a competitive game market. Sad things is R* know its there biggest game and feel they can do whatever they want to there fans and it will still sell. And fans take it as well. Just to sum up... Take two is ALREADY reporting a loss for 2012, because of the push back for MP3... http://www.computerandvideogames.com/33248...ensure-quality/ --------------------------- The aftershock of moving the shooter out of the fiscal quarter means Take-Two now expects to report a net loss for year 2012, it says. "We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company," said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two. "Max Payne 3 promises to be one of our most exciting releases to date, and we are confident that consumers will once again be amazed by Rockstar's ability to take interactive entertainment to another level. "With Max Payne 3 now slated for May, our robust lineup of upcoming releases for fiscal 2013 is even stronger, including BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Spec Ops: The Line, XCOM, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and other titles yet to be announced for release that year. ------------------------------------------------------------------- And, I pretty much guessed it was going to get pushed back, when R* was doing a contest on twitter for people to get their face in the game. I figured there was no way it was ready to roll out just yet. I am still standing by my October prediction for GTA...they are going to need to pull those numbers up for the year, lol. C2H5OH
So does this mean GTA V is coming 2013? No way that's impossible. It's not only possible it's FACT. max payne is rockstars number one priority if it's pushed back two months gta is pushed back atleast 4 months They wont drop max payne and gta around the same time because max payne wont sell as much. So basically max payne is holding gta hostage if you will. Now all we can do is wait for this f*cking game to drop Say goodbye to new gta info for a few months that won't be happening now. Because now their gotta fix their crappy game max payne Atleast they got the name right it is a max payne in my ass Is there any possibility for an October 2012 release? Because that's the GTA month. But I've never seen Rockstar release two high-profile productions in one year. I don't know about high profile, but Midnight Club: LA came out only a few months after GTA IV. It's not as impossible as some think. Oh, you´re right! Grand Theft Auto IV : April 29, 2008 Midnight Club: Los Angeles : October 20, 2008 A 2012 release isn't impossible after all ! I´m getting my hopes up for a mid October / November release then.

Gtaplayaminigun
WTF! Another PC delay from R*. So, I should expect another piece of crap port from R*. BTW, we can expect a GTA V info from them this month or Feb hopefully, now that MP3 is pretty far. They should have f*cking pushed it to the next year instead of 2 months so that atleast GTA would've come. Well, if they would have finished by then. You're only saying that because RDR never got a PC release! RDR is still one of the best rated games this generation, I think if people could choose which game to ditch, it would have been L.A.Noire, despite that being made by Team Bondi, Rockstar NYC still plowed a load of resources and recording time into that as well as promotion. It's not BS, it's the truth, it's fact. Which is why companies like Take Two suffers losses for an Entire Year! If the 2K sports franchise was so successful, then Take Two would not be reporting loses! The problem is That even though they release quality games, Rockstar is starting to f*ck up, plain and simple. Rockstar Releasing only 1 game a year with 5 studios under its belt, is proving to be too much!

Triple Vacuum Seal
R* North Develops GTA not MP so this MP3 stuff won't affect the progress of the game, just the marketing. People need to understand this so they can calm down with this "GTAV delayed too" sh*t as if we ever had a release date for GTAV. Max Payne 3 being moved is less awkward in my opinion for the marketing. R* was bound to give us a GTAV trailer around spring 2012 while people were supposed to be out buying MP3. That disrupts the hell out of MP3 sales so I see this as a GTAV accommodating delay more so than a blow to it's development and release. Besides the second GTAV trailer hype will drive MP3 publicity even more. "shut up, sit down, relax"
