The type of story ending mission?

What type of story ending mission should it be?

  1. 1. What type of story ending mission should it be?

    • It takes place in one building. You fight a ton of bad guys and then the antagonist, similar to Vice City.
      7
    • Completely crazy. You move from building to building, fighting many bad guys, drive different vehicles and then you end up in a memorable area in the city where you kill the antagonist.
      51
    • Just a fight with the antagonist.
      6
    • Mostly driving, and mostly riding helicopters and such.
      2
    • Lots of chases. You fight through enemies then chase the antagonist or follow the goons which then leads to the ultimate showdown with the antagonist.
      11
    • Fighting in memorable locations only, for example the carnival and plane in TBOGT.
      6
    • Having a large fight in a building, and then you have to escape the building before it blows up, or similar.
      8
    • Weirdest ending ever. Something not expected EG Taking place in Liberty City or similar.

I liked the TBOGT ending. smile.gif Although, ending up in Liberty City would probably be the most innovative ending to GTA yet.

It would be cool if the ending is in vice city! where u mayb meet vercetti's son(if he had 1) and then wait 4 years for the new game! haha! but yea! the epic ending: gwtting away from cops in a car and killing certain people and arriving at vice=D

Well done on the poll, lots of Great options. cool.gif

I picked just you VS the antagonist 1 on 1, preferably mano-a-mano. It's more Badass. The antagonist has to be a seriously compelling figure though...

Final mission; become famous and then get called about a partnership with the mayor...

...TO FIND OUT THAT HE'S...

HE'S...

CHARLIE THE UNICORN tounge.gif

Just playing, I voted the weirdest ending smile.gif

Voted weird ending. I want something totally unexpected. For example the ending of Hitman Blood Money (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!), where you are 'dead' at the funeral and then the credits came rolling over the screen and you suddenly came back to life to kill all the bad guys.

the best pool for GTA V so far............i voted for crazy ending, and i would like that when you reach antagonist you get pinned down by him and some character from previous saves you and you get involved in a chase similar to final chase in SA

I want quite a different ending. A game of death. You play cards with the antagonist and the loser has to commit suicide.

That'll be a weird ending. I think it'll be rather anticlimatic if this is the case.

It's GTA. You end up killing someone who betrayed you during the game.

Sounds like a Saints Row ending...

I want an all out battle. devil.gif To add to the realism, there should be a force of at least 10-15 allies (loyal characters from the storyline) with me in the firefight.

There should be some sort of location without police involvement like a mountain range, out in the water fighting on a series of boats, gun fighting into a forest compound/mansion, or just the city streets in a riot setting too overwhelming for police....

....Then we gun down at least 30-40 henchmen to brutally execute/light on fire/torture the antagonist.

A combination if Vice City's ending and the SA mission where you chased down Tenpenny on a firetruck, eventually causing him to crash. And somehow fit in killing a hooker... inlove.gif

I was thinking the ending could be this: Obviosly there's a recession so what if the main antagonist is a political figure who is taking all the money and not helping the people of Los Santos, and maybe he could ask you to do a job for him, you have the choice yes or no.

Yes final mission: You kill the leader of a rebel gang who are plotting to kill the political figure. This sparks outrage and there is a huge riot. (And I'm talking huge) everyone is fighting everyone, guns, police and ambulance's everywhere. The crowd are looking for you, and are out to kill you. You then have to take control of the riots and show the people and the rebel gang no tto mess with you.

No final mission: The rebels find you to ask if you want to assassinate the political figure yourself, the mission involves you fighting through his huge mansion up on the Vinewood hills and killing all his personal security he has, then chasing him in a car all the way to the airport. You then see him get on a plane, but your not finished there... the rebel leader turns up in a helicopter and pics you up, you get lifter above the plane before it's about to take off, your on the wing fist fighting with some bad guys and then you make your way to the cockpit of the plane, where you have a one-vs-one fist fight with the political figure (antagonist) then you have a choice assassinate him and get his mansion, or let him live for an unlimited supply of money from him.

I like the crazy option. There are plenty of warehouse or large public spaces where you have shootouts with large numbers of enemies throughout most of the games. Doing that AGAIN in the end would seem repetitive. A long and drawn out action sequence involving multiple locations is much better than having a typical duel against a mob of guys where you mostly shoot and duck for cover. The chase with Tenpenny at the end of San Andreas was GREAT! Something similar to that would be awesome. THAT was memorable, and never got old, especially using the slo mo cheat. Ha, Ha!

icon14.gif I love the riot setting but the whole organized powerful "rebel" vibe doesn't sound like something that would happen in the United States. At least not for one man. I like you political leader idea for an antagonist though, especially if we could include political parties.

That one's my least favorite. Either Roman or Kate end up dead. That made it very depressing.

Indeed, the ending is very bittersweet. That's why it was to my liking, personally, since it was different than every other GTA. What really made the ending good, though, was that you had a choice to make (an option which is conspicuously missing from this poll).

I would like for the last mission in V to have multiple endings like IV, but not necessarily be sad. Some sacrifice should be made though, as that is what makes choosing your own ending such a powerful experience. I felt genuinely conflicted during many of your opportunities to play god in IV--I hope there's more of these.

A whole lot of jumping off buildings (realistic distances) shooting in offices a chase through the streets (by this point both antag and protag are badly injured and bruised) and then finally you have a showdown in a park or lake area (thinking sort of dead eye from RDR) and it's up to you to either let him kill you or you kill him. If he kills you end up in hospital and then that opens up a new mission where you have a final chance to kill him and that ends it. A bit ambitious yes but it could happen.

That sounds really stupid. Why would the protagonist let him kill or injure him?

No, I didn't mean it like that. I meant it's up to you to shoot on time (like the duels in RDR) before he shoots you.

Oh, thats much better. Well, I could imagine it being kind of confusing, as I'd have felt I had just failed the mission and reload a save, not realizing you could continue.

I like the explosive way. I for me it would be the building blow thing.

I think that could be cool. Have a building blow up, but a building thats run by the bad guy's so you can be happy that you won't see that building while freeroaming after story.

They did bring down the crane in IV.

I'd like a one on one with the antagonist, but obviously not just standing there and shooting in open field. I'm thinking more of the ending of the movie "Heat" where Al Pacino and De Niro fight each other at LAX in the dark, with both the protagonist and antagonist having nearly no health (following a cutscene) and die with one bullet, and we would have to find and kill the bad guy in a kind of labyrinthic environment (not a labyrinth but a place with many places to hide). But of course, we'd need a more traditionnal shootout with th antagonist's men before that, or it'd be too short.
