MACCHUU1 Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 To be honest, the safehouses in IV sucked, what happened to the big mansion in Vice City, or Mad Dogg's crib in San Andreas. Not even one house in IV, just apartments and ONE penthouse. I hope nice houses, mansions, penthouses, private islands, etc. all appear in V. Also make it so you have to buy the safehouse, just to make wealth have a purpose. Post some ideas and some pictures, maybe. Triple Vacuum Seal Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Despite the respect I had for GTA4's new direction towards realism and what not, the safe house situation was an utter disappointment. I always thought that one of the three massive mansions in West Dyke, Alderney was going to be a reward or something in the game. Same exact thought pattern I had. I would have kept one of the unique helicopters stolen from a mission there too. Just got me thinking what if R* purposely left out decent safe houses in GTA4 so the ones in V would BLOW US AWAY. Talk about a tolerance break. However, that's the kind of thinking that got me disappointed with the last installment. I think people here are right, although the safehouses in IV weren't brilliant a huge mansion wouldn't really have suited Niko's story. We are returning to Los Santos, however, which makes me hope we will be given a mansion similar to Diaz's Starfish Island pad in VC. Rural log cabins, cottages, and mobile homes far from the city. 3. Recreation vehicles which can be used in the process of completing missions and used as safehouses in safe parking locations.
