Steinway Hooligan

this is just the first part of what I'm doing right now. It's like a story, it's just an overview before a sort of screenplay thing, or whatever you want to call it.

A Brief History of The Scully Outfit

The Scully mob was formed in Belfast in 1963 by Irish brothers Gary Scully and Brenden Scully. They were staunchly protestant and lived in a protestant neighbourhood. Their spare time was spent attacking Catholics and bringing home to torture them, as well as hard drug use. At the age of 18 Gary started selling drugs on the street such as marijuana.

Brenden told Gary they should start a gang and recruited several friends from school to help shift the drugs.

By 1965 the Scully Mob were the most feared gang in Ireland. They had caused a lot of friction between the Protestants and Catholics, mainly down to their rivalry with the O’Leary catholic gang of north Belfast. In 1966 Brenden Scully was found guilty of 6 charges of assault as well as 2 cases of hate crimes and the charge of Racketeering.

He escaped to Liberty City and left Belfast behind. He worked at a factory in BAOBO for 3 years before imploring the rest of the gang to join him. In 1969 the Scully Mob reunited in Broker, and bought a small, abandoned store in East Island City. They branded it as a cigar chop, while using it as their base of operations.

The Scully outfit ran a racketeering firm, taking over most territory of East Island City and Steinway. Their dominance over Dukes didn’t last when in 1972 the Irish “McReary” crew took over. The Scully outfit were out powered and moved their operation south into Schottler. The Scully crew had to fight off completion throughout the seventies from small Russian gangs and a Jamaican gang known as “The Broker Rasclots”. The Scully firm were the second biggest Irish gang in Liberty City but it didn’t stop them from gaining influence in the Dukes District of Meadow Hills. Young Irish men who were without qualifications or a job aspired to be a part of their gang network. Brenden died in 1978 giving power over to his brother Gary and his two best friends, Micky and Paddy Boy.

In 1981 the Scully mob took over territory in South Bohan and Chase Point, during the influx of Caribbean, West Indian and Dominican immigrants moved in. The Scully’s wanted peace with the local gangs and offered a partnership where the Scully’s would ship over weapons from Ireland and sell to the local gangs at a cheap price. This deal was agreed and by 1983 the Scully’s were fast catching up the McCreary crew, who by this time moved their base of operations to Purgatory, Algonquin.

In 1985 the Scully’s were embroiled with a large gang war with the Spanish Lords. They were an up and coming gang from Cerveza Heights who had started to expand into East Island City, the Scully’s first base. The Spanish Lords were involved in arms trafficking like the Scully’s but were planning on striking a deal with the gangs in South Bohan to move in on the Scully’s territory. The Scully’s attacked a crack den used by the Spanish Lords and assassinated the leader, Fernando Rivas, (father of Lyle Rivas) this was the start of a long war which didn’t end until 1988.

During this time the Liberty City Police Department and the FBI were collecting evidence against Gary Scully and his gang. During this time many gangs are restricted from operating due to the many arrests made and drug raids throughout the city, especially the crowded criminal underworld throughout Broker and Dukes. After this time the Scully’s moved in on the McReary’s turf in East Island City and Steinway. In the early nineties the Scully outfit owned most of Dukes and half of broker, moving in on Albanian territory in Hove Beach and buying land in East Hook.

By 1994 the Spanish Lords were pushed out of Broker and moved north to Bohan, taking over the territory of dying street gangs that operated under a Hispanic crime lord known as Raul Mendes.

The Scully’s started trading with the growing Korean mob in the south of Algonquin, using the docks in East Hook as their base. The Scully’s started planning to build a casino overlooking the statue of happiness in 1996 but their plans were foiled when Gary Scully was put away on 36 separate charges. His young apprentice Ivan Daley took over but he couldn’t do anything about the loss of influence and territory Scully’s arrest caused. The Scully’s lost territory in East Hook due to the emerging Petrovic Bratva.

In 1997 the Scully outfit split apart into 4 separate factions. The Steinway hooligans were the first to declare themselves separate. The leader was Brenden Scully’s son Richard. The Steinway hooligan’s main interests were car hijacking, racketeering and counterfeiting. Many of their members lived in the gritty Steinway projects and were young, working class Irish & English immigrants.

The second faction was the “Fortside Boys”. They were generally made up of thirty-something experienced robbers who operated as an auto garage in Fortside, Bohan. Their main business was racketeering, car repairs and modification, and car robbery. They wore tattoos to distinguish themselves as a separate faction to the others, using the initials “FB” , a car exhaust and a Gaelic football as their logo.

The third faction was the most powerful of the outfit’s four factions. They were based in Schottler and in East Island City, and were known mainly as “Broker Bhoys”. Taking their name from a popular Celtic football club based in Scotland, the gang was the most powerful and important and the leader was the caporegime of the whole organisation, Brenden Scully’s school friend, Paddy Boy (Bhoy) who, ironically was catholic but hid this from the Scully brothers until the late nineties when the religious orientation of the gang started to have less importance upon the gang, which was starting to accept English, black and eastern European members. The fourth was the smallest and most isolated gang, known as “Dockside Hooligans” Based in the industrial hub of Alderney, throughout Port Tudor, Tudor and Normandy. The gang receives little funding from the leaders and influential members of the outfit. Their business is smuggling and drugs. From the Alderney docks they ship out drugs to East Hook, Bohan and even down to Vice City. This gang is made up of Asians, blacks and whites, making it the most diverse gang in Liberty City. The leader is Eric Bell, the brother of Phil Bell, advisor for the Pegorino family. They share allies with the Lost bike gang and the Korean outfit in Alderney city, making it the most popular gang; however the gang has lost a lot of power since its original inception in 1999 due to severe restriction from police indictments and FBI investigation.

By 2004 the main rivals of the Scully outfit, the McReary’s, had taken over territory in Meadows Park and Meadow Hill. By 2008 the McReary’s gained influence in Steinway again which sparked a mass gang war in late December. By 2009 the Scully outfit completed the assassination of long standing enemy, Niko Belic, and had taken over the McReary territory as the gang were wiped out. The Scully outfit still operate today, and are one of the most powerful criminal organisations in Liberty, the Dockside Hooligans most notably gaining more influence than the 3 other gangs, and ranking as the 2nd most powerful individual gang in the united states.

The story is solid. The grammar is a little off and the spacing is a bit odd. Run this through a processor, and space paragraphs equally.

I haven't gotten around to reading the story fully yet, but Gaelic football is a lot different to what you think.
