VenemousRock
I have installed iCEHANCER and it's driving my nuts, I also installed a texture pack, gun mods, etc, and I want it ALL to default. I don't want to use mods, just the regular, standard version of the game. iCEHANCER always had issues, being fuzzy/grainy, too bright, etc. I just want to play through the game normal, no mods, nothing. I want a clean GTA IV. Also it's the steam edition. I tried deleting the local content in Steam, redownloading, but the files were still there after I redownloaded so I spent 3 hours redownloading it for nothing. kvic
Well the fastest and safest way is to uninstall it the do a reinstall depending on the mods you used it could get real confusing as to which files you replaced and the one's you didn't. Have you tried out the injectSMAA add on, I am using it now and all I can say is wow it's the closest to ENB I have seen yet and there is no performance hit. Because if I "delete local content" on Steam and redownload it, it appears just as before it was deleted, saves my trainer, cars, guns, iCEHANCER, etc. And no I've never heard of the mod, can you give me a link? kvic
Im not familiar with steam but have you made sure any folders relating to gta have been deleted before redownloading ,also after you download can't you make a backup image for a easier reinstall? http://mrhaandi.blogspot.com/p/injectsmaa.html

So I deleted that folder completely. It's reinstalling now, should be good. And thanks for that link. But isn't it just basically a modded version of anti aliasing? kvic
Basically yes but since gta does not make use of aa you do get a much sharper and cleaner game ,and add to that if you use a modified timecyc .dat it just gives you a great picture without the hassel of adjusting enb to your liking. but if you plan to play online it might be detected as a cheat . NaidRaida
Make sure you make backups when you install mods. I recommend you a full backup of the whole folder architecture once you patched the game with your choosen patch. Then you have all the existing files you need for upcoming backups. You never know what you gonna mod, so this method makes sense. HDD´s are huge now, so this 16GB is nothing. With a proper backup system you can normally recover your game to stock game. And it´s easy when you put in something that cause trouble or crashing.
