Finch47
Hello, will GTA 4 work on my PC? P.S: I am not expecting high details. Motherboard: ASRock P45DE CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 @ 3.0 GHz RAM: Corsair 2x2GB 800 MHz Dual Channel GPU: Nvidia 9800GTX 512MB/256MB BUS Power Supply: Sirtec High Power Element 400W Edited January 15, 2012 by Finch47
Original Light
I'm not sure about your other specs, but I do know a little about cards. That card seems to be enough for medium settings, as you need at least 200 MB for low settings. So I would say yes. EDIT: But if you want to run GTA IV smoother and on higher settings, I would upgrade the card. As 512 MB isn't really enough, but if you want to play the game on medium settings then the card is okay. Finch47
Oh nice. About the RAM, I think I would get extra performance because it is dual channeled, right?
yoječ
Theoretically - yes. In practice - not really. Your PC should be fine for medium details.
Finch47
If I'll get a GTS250, will it definitely work on full medium settings?
yoječ
Changing 9800GTX to GTS250 isn't an upgrade. These cards are almost identical in terms of performance.

Finch47
I finished the game on xbox360. Now I want to finish it on PC too.
unc13bud
i disagree with that viewpoint. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=397064# i have special edition GTA IV for xbox 360, and it doesn't look better than my lowest settings on my athlon x2 3800+ machine (even with shadow density turned off) edit: I played the xbox 360 version again last night (haven't played since gta IV PC came out). i was very wrong. the game looks beautiful with led tv and hdmi... got to get my low end system settings to look like that.
