tejasm
In the GTA V trailer the second last scene is this: However, this scene really reminds me of this scene from the opening of GTA III: Does anyone other than me think there may be a connection? Grand_Theft_Peanut
No significant connection, it is probably just some kind of inside joke between the creators of the trailer, wouldnt have anything to do with the story line or sumtin, they did the same thing with the speeding blue car from vice city trailer
tejasm
I don't expect claude in GTA V but I have a feeling that this is R* way of telling us that V will do the same to reinvent the genre as III did a decade ago. Or maybe include a digital copy of the older game a la Assassins Creed?
tejasm
What's even more is that in both you can see a building, and a few trees/plants. Both appear to be on a bridge of some sort.
MagzGTA
I thought that when I first saw the trailer. Maybe you can play GTA 3 on a video game console in your house? Highlty unlikely but, well... it is Rockstar!

tommzy2
gta 3 is only 700mb, im pre sure there will be enough space to fit in GTA V, i think the map itself will be 20gb+

Not possible, it is confirmed that it's Los Santos and surrounding countryside, and we had LC in the last GTA..

Rauland
simple, the connection is they've learnt to make more realistic fire Looks interesting, this might be a big stretch but maybe it's saying there's more city behind the highway? I doubt it though but the highway gotta lead somewhere, right?
Algonquin Assassin
You guys are looking far too deep. It reminds me of the GTA III bridge scene I admit, but it's likely an inside joke or pure coincidence. I mean there isn't an ambulance in the original. Zee
Eh, not really a connection, more of a coincedence.
Jabalous
While I don't give any care if that's a reference to GTA III or not, I was wondering about the purpose of this scene in the trailer. Is it only a trailer filler? or is there something Rockstar wants us to see, like this possible reference to GTA III, nostalgia? they're from the kind who put things carefully in their trailers to trigger something. UberChargedCJ
i think the IV's liberty city is better than the III's liberty city A.K.A new york

Maybe that's all it is - a small reference to GTA 3 to celebrate 10 years since that game. Nothing more.
Hydro_PlayboyX
i was thinking the same thing, because when the trailer came out and gta v was announced i started playing and beating gta pc games so i started with III and as soon as i seen it i remembered it from trailer, its most probably because 10th year anniversary

mediocore
For the people saying "You could fit GTA III into V easily..." It might be a smaller game and easily be fit into the new title, but Rockstar have just started making money selling the older games for Mac and iOS. They're not going to give it away for free a few months down the line. Also, playing a game within a game... Isn't that the premise of Inception? AndyGanteks
I mean there isn't an ambulance in the original. The ambulance + police appear if you waited for a few seconds in the game though. But yeah, an Easter egg or coincidence, that's it.
