Coral_City
That would be gay as hell if the main character died. We play as some random guy whom we've associated with no particular identity through the experience of storyline missions. All for what? To say we tried something "different" because surviving is too mainstream? LOL. This comment wins the thread. Seriously, the trend of killing off your main character is silly. Take for example RDR, I felt no connection to Jack and I simply stopped playing multiplayer because he's a character with no story. f*ck this idea. ubergoon1912
mabie you know the other person like u see him throughout the story and even take him on friend activities and you can grow on him too by having him and his backstory explored by the way of doing a lot of missions with him and him telling the protag about his life
GTA-King
Can't we just have a happy ending? (giggity)
IllnessGTA
It would be extremely poor to have the protagonist die, especially at the end. It worked well in RDR. Don't want to see it in another R* game.
kilo73
*SPOILER ALERT*As many of you know many of the recent R* games have ended with the main character dying... Which games are those? RDR? Last i counted that was only one game... how is that many? L.A. Noire so weve got 2 so far, any others? i dont really consider that many.
Tipper
so weve got 2 so far, any others? i dont really consider that many. Maybe not many, but these games are the last two. It's been since October 2009 we last saw a R* games protagonist survive. So, many or few, a third time in a short period of time would feel like it's overdone. But R* probably realise that, so they won't kill the protagonist again.
xxcyylonexx
This time i'm hoping for a really, really happy ending. I couldn't make myself to free roam and have fun once i complited the main storyline in IV, because it felt pointless. Niko lost and i couldn't do anything about it. f*cking death of John Marston was even worse. I want my protagonist to be happy and succesful. Real life is sad enough as it is I feel exactly the same way.
Australia
I don't have a problem with the protag dying, just so long as it's done in a good way. The Red Dead ending was great I thought, however the L.A Noire ending really pissed me off. It seemed too rushed
Algonquin Assassin
Can't we just have a happy ending?
