Space Cowboy

^That "strange" Nrg is also in Little Loop race and Dam Rider (or Desert Tricks I'm not sure now) and it has certainly different handling from normal Nrg. I don't think it can be saved in garage though.

Gray Imports

 

When you enter the red marker your vehicle becomes FP/EP. But someone have posted somewhere (I can't find where it is) that your vehicle is only EP after a certain point. At what moment is the vehicle no longer fireproof?

 

A moment ago I made a Hydra FP/EP, but I have killed a few Russians and also triggered the warehouse door. I have not been inside the warehouse. Is my Hydra only explosionproof now?

 

My game is on pause and I hope for a quick reply. Thanks in advance.

 

Edit: The Hydra had not lost its fireproofing. I went ahead and saved it and later tests proves that it is FP/EP. But I would like to know at what point your vehicle is only EP and not FP/EP.

I did this happened to me everytime I left the used vehicle near the entrance of the warehouse grounds I transformed a vehicle don't remember which and tried to go against the gas station the cra didn't explode in the impact but exploded a few seconds after. I noticed it first actually the first time I use the rustler in this mission, that why I always store the used vehicles after entering the initial marker near the warehouse. It's quite normal I think as the Bashee and PCJ-600 that shows in the end of the mission are only EP.

Below is the documentation from my tests of EP-only vehicles in Gray Imports. In short, whichever vehicle that CJ enters during the last part of the chase as the target makes his final approach to the Banshee will become EP-only after the mission.

I see. So long as I don't start chasing the Russian my vehicle stays FP/EP.

 

Btw, on your post you linked to, the screenshots there doesn't work for me. Imageshack used to be a good service but they are crap now. The upper thumbnail works, but when I click it to see the big picture a white popup/overlay is covering most of the picture, and I can't close it. The bottom thumbnail doesn't work, but when I click where it should be, I get the same miserable result with a popup covering the big picture.

 

I examined the source code of the pages, and I found these links that actually works. They are the direct links that ImageCrap don't like to show you unless you register:

First picture 800x600 px.

First picture 640x480 px.

Second picture 800x600 px.

Second picture 640x480 px.

Well im 'trying' get Proofed LSPD car , after hmm 70? Tries my car was exploded 3times in good place, hmm i facting to a car when my blowsup and there is no police car, why? Is it unobtainable on ps2?

 

After you tell me i do it wrong; i do that same think on PC , and car stays and i jack it up etc so i know how to do that just on ps2 car disapear when my car is blowed near big smoke fortress...

1. The Tampa is "destroyed" and CJ drives Smoke home. Why is not the Tampa deleted from memory when it sits so far away? PS2 only remembers 12 vehicles, is this number much higher on PC? I'm going to try this on PS2 some time, but I don't believe the Tampa stays in memory long enough, ESPECIALLY when the game thinks it is destroyed.

 

 

The Tampa is a mission critical vehicle and therefore is remembered.

 

 

is there  a special trick to get Police Car in Reuniting the Families, I never blown the Greenwood before Biker cops cutscene and I aimed at car trunk all the time

 

 

Each time I try it I think I am onto something and then I am not. I thought it had to do with the direction in which you are "looking" and I still do think there is some truth to it. If you look diagonally at the ground but indirectly towards the cop shooting at you with an mp5, it seems to damage you quicker. Elevate your angle slightly when you go around the corner so as to "look" at the cop car going through the alley. I was able to get the Greenwood destroyed at the roadblock at the point in which the target vehicle is exiting the alley. Then it was a very simple task of shooting the cop in the window once and jacking the car. I forgot the car was not BP so at that point, a Balla got out of his car and started shooting. I barely eked out of that one - should have used either a silenced pistol or owned that territory to prevent the mistake.

I have a question: What happens to the Rhino's proofings if you drive it into the marker at gray imports? Will it remain bullet proof? Is the Rhino damageproof?

Proofings at Gray Imports are like a binary switch - 1's and 0's and whatever you have before entering the marker, is toggled.

I have never double checked to see if it was EP or not to begin, I don't think it technically is (anyone?)

It's not, which is why I wanted to make it gain that. But apparantly bullet proofing is lost and it turns into a hilariously useless piece of crap.

A Rhino will spawn as BP and EP (1,0,1,0,0).

 

To clarify, there is only one code used to change the immunities of the vehicles: it always writes all 5 immunities. An immunity cannot truly remain unchanged when another is applied. It must be set either on or off each time.

The Rhino is not Fireproof it catchs fire and blows up. Try like this take a Rhino to a gas station and go against it it will blow up, but the rhino won't immediatly only a few seconds late rbecaus it's EP but not FP.

Oh so the fire from explosions makes it blow up. Didn't know that. I never drive through fire or stand in it long when my Rhino gets destroyed after bumping into a lot of cars.

I just found out the Verdant meadows hangar is open from the start of the game if you use the jetpack in the opening scene glitch. So that could give extra possibilities to saving certain vehicles if you would be willing to do that.

 

It also opens up CJ's moms house, so you can save and see the 'in the beginning' mission on your save file.

 

And I also found out that sometimes Big Smokes black Perennial doesn't have the rood rack, and that the version without the roof rack is rarer.

Hey i tried obtain it but seems impossible, i tried 2 ways. First at supply lines when u fly i got undermap and hoped i got spawned inside doherty garage by flying down under the garage ( normally u fall thru ground/map then u will be spawned on surface/land/map again ) but it keeps spawn me on the streets. Second thing i tried on supply lines is start mission then fly to your airport thing in last city u bought ( i didnt do Zero missios so i already unluckod/bought all ) theres a pcj motorcycle, i shot pcj in front of garage ( normally doors should open ) but nothing happened, i was 2 feet away from the garage door with pcj and the rc plane thing u fly but nothing happens.

I think so. I've generated every variation of the Securicar I can think of but can't get that one to appear. I've come to the conclusion that that logo is applied during the cut-scene only and isn't part of any variation for that vehicle.

Hey anyone knows if the rc plane is enter-able ( with like mods or cheat device ) if yes then i got 1 last trick avaible to get it while on Zero's missions but for that i need restart game so i dont want to do evrything again to find out the rc plane aint enter-able ( if my trick works ofcourse )

So going to try to get this out by the end of the year. Just been busy with a LOT of sh*t over the past 3-4 months; otherwise I would've had it done a lot sooner. I can guarantee there will be one, though!!

I'm not familiar with that glitch. But it would require a cheat to spawn a jetpack so I don't think I personally will use it. But it's a nice discovery! (How the heck did you find it?)

You could maybe store a Gray Imports proofed Hydra there. (or other proofed aircraft from that mission)

 

@OG Viking: It's a well known glitch. It just suddenly came up in my mind that it might open up the Verdant Meadows hangar because it also opens up CJ's moms house before finishing the first mission, and then I found out it did.

 

And in reference to the Packer: couldn't you use one of those driving underwater glitches and drive it to the hangar? I don't know much about those, so maybe someone else knows.

Interesting. But that glitch requires a cheat code, and if you do use one cheat you can just as well use more cheats, allowing you to drive on water or in the air. No problem getting any vehicle from LS to anywhere.

Well, I guess everybody can make up their own rules when they play. I'm comfortable using this glitch so I could more easily store a proofed Hydra in a future playthrough. Just like some people use cheats to get the CP Sultan. Everybody can play it their own way, so these are all just interesting suggestions.

 

So I still like to limit my amount of cheats used to the opening cutscene one, but that's just my taste.

So does getting the fullyproofed Packer (cheat code needed) in Just Business. I do not consider Police Impound to be very reliable for storing vehicles so would love to easily use the Hangar.

It's one of those, well, while you're cheating to get the Packer anyway, fly it to the Hangar and park it there. As it is now, I fly it to Doherty, park it diagonal, then when I need the space in SF, I temporarily park it in Impound. With the Packer in Doherty, you can park one more car there. If you're like me, even though you get better versions of each car in some cases, I still like to get the lesser one first, sort of like a placeholder. So, I get the Savanna in High Stakes Low Rider, but I run out of room so I have to drive one of the cars to Doherty before completing Green Sabre. Yeah, you could also get the Sabre in Tanker Commander but it is so much easier to get in The Green Sabre.

I have been able to get the hangar doors to open without extra cheats before, much like getting an airport gate to open when you don't have a license, crash it from the "inside" even though you're on the outside.

Another making it just slightly easier tactic for one of the proofed bikes.

 

Mission: OG Loc

 

Once you're on the mission bike, ride it the 50 feet or so to the street and get off - Look to the right, there's Freddy waiting for you to get closer.

Now, Instead of using MULTIPLE clips of ammo to kill OG LOC and have to keep moving to keep Freddy in sight, just use about 15 rounds of SMG ammo, or a short burst from the minigun, whatever you choose on the bike you're supposed to use to chase Freddy. You will get a "Mission Failed - The Bike you were supposed to use has been destroyed." Chances are, Freddy will advance slightly in the alley and be dragging against the right side of the wall trying to turn around to come after you. Just jack the bike and enjoy.

I have been able to get the hangar doors to open without extra cheats before, much like getting an airport gate to open when you don't have a license, crash it from the "inside" even though you're on the outside.

That reminds me of when I needed to push a Hydra wreck into the SFPD impound. I used a Seasparrow to open the gate by flying its nose into the gate. It's not difficult and if the hangar gate works the same way as the impound gate it should be easy.

 

But about the jetpack trick again, exactly when is the window of time you have to spawn a jetpack? You can't just spawn it after a few missions?
