Tyler
@Robinski, my taste in music is NOT closed minded, I posted songs I think are the best in the Rate a Song topic, that doesn't account for all I listen to. I could call all pop, rap, hip hop sh*t music as well, because overall I hate it, very few exceptions.

Slamman
You sure he didn't wear that shirt in the mid 1980s?? The Stones really came to blows with the idea that Mick or Kieth would do a solo record instead of a RS record, and the animosity is tangible in the Dirty Work video promo, One Hit to the Body! @Tyler, that proves nothing, your quote is really, REALLY out of context. This is not to provide a war of words among Rap and Rock fans, there are other musical genres you clearly negated with that comment. LSD, Lead Singer Disease, actually, isn't it?? This is relatable; Edited January 9, 2012 by Slamman
GreatGig
I think we all know where the better music is and it isn't in the charts. I agree with that part. I like all kinds of music and often find myself looking at the charts just to see what's popular and so forth. Most of the music on there in rubbish to me but every now and again, you find something that's not bad. Metronomy is a good example. I normally seek out artists I see on Jools Holland because a majority of them are brilliant. I wouldn't know a thing about music if it wasn't for that show. JOSEPH X
You never see Red Hot Chilli Pepper fans. Do they exist? OT.. Wear a shirt that says, "Who the f*ck is Mick Jagger?" might as well say "I'm a tit."
Slamman
Again, like all tastes in music, however, it can be either for humor, or genuinely implied, in a way that's somewhat demeaning, I always take it in a humorous light, obviously Keef did! haha
Twang.
You never see Red Hot Chilli Pepper fans. Do they exist? Had you asked me 6 years ago, I'd say yeah, I'm one. Still got a bit of love for them, but eh, there's so much else that I'd rather listen to. As for pop music, I like to look at it like this: it's funny for people who don't take it seriously, and catchy as hell for people who do take it seriously. The stuff I hear on the radio reminds me of the pop station from GTA3. It's good as background music to driving and parties.
Slamman
Speaking of, North Bellic Man is a big Red Hot Chili Pepper man himself. He's not seen around the boards in recent months and years, but for the record, he's still a member! Never was banned.
trip
listen, listen people!! I know who mick jagger is, DUH. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen that shirt. I didnt ask the question the shirt did! Not sure why people misunderstood what you were getting at. I've never seen the shirt, but one thing that really angers me is the people who wear the standards Stones lips logo and probably don't even know what it is. On the topic of "today's music sucks". Every generation says that. Half the stuff that came out in the 70s I hated until the 80s. Almost all of the stuff that came out in the 80s made me want to kill people. Now I secretly enjoy listening to 80s music. Popular music has been undergoing a slow rate of saturation since (lets say) the 50s. As more time passes it gets harder for anyone new to make a lasting impression. I think music generations just need more aging to be appreciated now a days. Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending today's music - I still think it is sh*t. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
unopescio
I'm of the opinion that the cream rises to the top over time. Nobody remembers all the thousands of god awful songs that were popular in the 80s. They only remember the classics. 20 years from now people will look back on the 2010s and only remember the best of it, and theyll say "omg music today iz so sh*t want 2 go back to 2010 when music was real xoxoxo"
Slamman
What's funny, and I think mentioned in passing, the topic heading has no question mark, so, make of that what you will
bread
But good music just doesn't exist. It's all about tastes. Amen.
Slamman
Late 80s and early 90s was good music on several fronts, I loved it, then it changed, slowly at first with the Seattle Grunge thing, which is now discussed on the VH1 Classic documentaries that Sam Dunn hosts Still, I lived that scene personally, I know it literally kicked ass, and somehow people grew despondent since they didn't know how good they actually had it! I think they have to be brain dead

End the Recession with Jagger's Lets Work; In addition, ...check out She's The Boss, an album with stronger songs overall AUDIO was removed, I believe, seemed it was too low at first Edited January 15, 2012 by Slamman
