Hove Beach Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Just a thought: wouldnt it be cool if u could visit IV's LC in GTAV? since they are both in the HD era the graphic differences wouldnt be disturbing. Maybe u could do a few missions there or simply spend some time there to cool off as you've killed some important boss in Los Santos or whatever Im not sure whether the game could handle 2 huge maps but maybe you could limit the player to lets say only algonquin. On SA I realised the efforts I went to so that I could get into liberty city from SA when all I needed to do (which is allot easier) is remove the san andreas disk and put in the liberty city stories disk. Its unlikely to just visit another place off the spot,sure for a mission I'd like that but not Liberty City. The last 3 games GTA's where held there.(Or 4 if GTA ChinaTown Wars was held in LC) Besides, everyone would be sick and tired of it. If you get GTA V on PC,I'm sure there will be mods for it. Wow if they meant no more LC ever than that would be a shame. Someone also said something about maybe bein able to visit some other city outside of SA.... THAT we dont even have to discuss cus letsface it R* wont make another city just like that for a game, the theory is that LC would be there just for a couple of missions or just a meeting or whatever. And that would be a system that could link games between them, like if you had GTAIV and in this case GTAV and later on GTA VI you could actually use the "maps" so basicly would be like updated graphics, technology or whatever of the current game with the possibility of traveling to the other places, that could be by a connection they made, like a big highway or by a plane or airport, the limit would be the HDD. If Rockstar had this thought some years ago and kept making new cities for each game, it could be something like American States, travel from LA to NY or TX (if there was a map based on it). We already visit LC in so many games and visiting NYC again in Max Payne 3 in march so it would be better to see some other place now. True, but these cities currently don't have a current gen map and I can't see R* making a small part for the sake of 1, maybe 2 missions. LC is the only other city in the "HD" era that has a current map. I'm not sure about the idea of going back there for a significant amount of time, but for a mission? Why not? It was awesome in SA. IMO it gives a feeling that there's more to the game world and as someone said it would be epic seeing a cutscene of The Stature Of Happiness covered in snow. I realize that most are sick of LC, but it's pretty much to the GTA series what the White House is to the U.S.A. It's an icon which is basically what made GTA, well GTA. Matty Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 I think it would be pretty cool to visit a place outside the normal game world in Grand Theft Auto V, even if it is Liberty City again for a few missions in the storyline. There is also nothing saying that they could make a portion of Vice City or London in "HD" for the purpose of visiting to complete a couple of missions in Grand Theft Auto V, which would also be really cool and would be something different other then Liberty City. Also, when you visited Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there was only a portion of the whole city that was able to be explored (that could only be done by using the "Unlimited Jetpack Height Action Replay Max/Gameshark code). I'd love a mission where we see LC for a little. Maybe the protag is from there, since he mentions the weather being nicer in LS than where he's from. OT: no, i don't want to return to LC in V. That's why i've kept IV. Maybe LC to appear like it did in SA (a custscene) or the sa introduction (CJ in LC) but that's it. Let' focus on the new setting. But I seriously doubt they'll do the same in V. The detail in graphics and map will take alot of space, animations and stuff(seen in IV too that there was loads of detail - and in V there seems to be even more) so I doubt that Xbox 360 nor PS3 would be able to handle that on 1 disc, they'd need to do like 15 discs like someone said already... And I don't really like it anyway, if I'd be able to visit LC/VC/anything other city than San Andreas only in one mission, it would create frustration(Why can't I get back there... i wanna get back), the same happened me in SA when I was playing it on PS2 in '04 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like this idea, and think it's probably the most likely, not necessarily where the protag comes from (although that's the first thing i thought when narrator said "moved here for the weather") but a cutscene in a portion of LC (probably airport). Imagine protag walking up airplane stairs with horrible dark windy rainy weather, then fade to him walking off the stairs in a beautifully bright and hot los santos! that most certainly would be nerdgasm.
