Average time to beat GTA IV?

Self explanatory. It took me 32 hours the first time, then I learn't that you get an achievment for beating it in less than 30 hours (this was 3 years ago) so I beat it again in 28 hours. I play through the story once a year for a little tradition and the fastest time I got was the last time I beat it at 26. I ignored the friends portion and I will try to beat that time when I find out when V is coming out, whats your fastest time?

My first playthrough i got like 28 hours. My fastest one was like 19 hours where all i pretty much did was missions.

I took me 16 hours for the first time I beat the storyline, and I got "Liberty City Minutes" for that

I haven't taken less than 50 hours, whenever i play i do so many things in between story that it adds loads of time to it.

Me too. My most recent run was about 60 hours.

Once did it in less than 30h for that achievement but usually it takes more than 50h.. i like to take my time with this game!

It took me 40 hours or so the first time around. It seems like I'm a slow player nevertheless, because my fastest run was about 30 hours, more or less. (Huge contrast with San Andreas, 60 hours the first time, and 30 hours in the second run)

Never below 28. I usually plan when I do missions, for example when I do lets the mission the snow storm, russian revolution in other words big missions I try to do them at night time cus of the atmosphere n realism it would be weird to do those at 1 pm u know, so in the mean time I wait and do activities

8 hrs. Even i wasted time hanging out with friends. On real time, i beat it in 6 days. And now i'm on 95%

I still remember my completion of the game when it was 7 months:

Storyline - 3 days

For 100%(not including storyline) - 4 days

Funny. Other games like LCS, VCS, SA are longer.

Probably 18 hours is my best (I was trying to get the liberty city minute achcheivement) but my longest play through is around 50+ still playing

My longest was 50-60 Hours, and fastest was around 10 Hours and 30 Minutes.

I beat the main story-line in about seven hours, without cheat codes. If I were to use cheat codes, I would probably cut my time to five hours.

Buffalo Soldier

I started playing in late December 2008 and completed it in early January 2009, it was the fastest I've ever completed a GTA game - because usually I get distracted with all the other things to do like in San Andreas, and don't complete it for years. (Yes, years)

But because GTA IV was so dull, I flew by it.
