When do you guys think they'll announce the official premiere date?

Sometime soon I reckon. It was around this time last year that they announced 5A. I'll do some digging in this topic to find exactly when. icon14.gif

EDIT: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=497731&st=60

We got the release date for season 5A in late May, early June last year. Could be around the same time this year for season 5B.

Thank you very much! I suppose we should expect the same this year.

Didn't someone official said "July 14th" on Instagram a few weeks ago?

I'm not talking about Aaron Paul, that was on Twitter.

^ Yeah, "someone" did. But it has never fully been confirmed. I'd put my money on the 14th though.

@JohnnyPlayert I'm 15, about to turn 16 next month! The 87 was just a random number I came up with when I made my username. colgate.gif

@ GTA-King: So, who was it then? It was someone from the staff, right?

And btw bro, isn't that new edition of Ecstacy just fan-f*cking-tastic??? Damn!

But really, those of you not up to speed yet, don't watch it. It basically features EVERY epic scene from the entire series, i sh*t you not.

^ Not exactly sure who said July 14th on instagram. I think it was the same people who posted that fan picture of that body with the bag on his head, claiming it was a photo for 5B.

The official release date should be right around the corner though. Keeping an eye on AMCtv.com icon14.gif

Been watching a fan-made "Star Wars" trailer done in the style of "Man of Steel". I'm very impressed by it. Kind of makes you wonder what a BB preview would look like if done the same way.

Oh, and this:

The Fifth Season Blu-ray and DVD feature an eight-minute, uncensored bonus scene, "Chicks 'N' Guns," written and produced exclusively for the home entertainment release. Starring Aaron Paul, Bob Odenkirk (TV's How I Met Your Mother), and Charles Baker (Splinter), the scene tells the pivotal back story to Episode 8, "Gliding Over All."

"The extra scene we created exclusively for the Blu-ray and DVD proves just how much the relationship between Jesse and Walt has drastically changed over the past five seasons of Breaking Bad," said Vince Gilligan, show creator. "Chicks 'N' Guns is an original idea that presents fans with a pivotal missing moment during Episode 8. Writers Jenn Carroll and Gordon Smith, and Director Michelle MacLaren, did a fantastic job bringing it to life, and I think fans will love it."

Breaking Bad: The Fifth Season comes as a three-disc Blu-ray and four-disc DVD set, including cast and crew commentary on every episode, deleted scenes, outtakes, audition and rehearsal footage, and all-new featurettes.

Breaking Bad also stars Anna Gunn (TV's Deadwood), Dean Norris (TV's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Betsy Brandt (Magic Mike), RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, and Jonathan Banks (Identity Thief). It was created by writer/director/producer Vince Gilligan (TV's The X-Files), who also served as executive producer with Academy Award® winner Mark Johnson (Rain Man, 1988's Best Picture) and Michelle MacLaren (TV's The X-Files). Co-executive producers of the series include Melissa Bernstein, Sam Catlin (TV's Canterbury's Law), George Mastras (TV's The Dresden Files), Peter Gould (TV's Too Big To Fail), and Thomas Schnauz (TV's The X-Files). Moira Walley-Beckett (TV's Pan Am) served as supervising producer with Stewart A. Lyons as Line Producer/UPM. Cranston and Diane Mercer (TV's Arrested Development) are producers of the series.

Blu-ray Exclusive Special Features Include:

-"Scene by Scene: Directors Discuss Memorable Moments" provides the directors' experience making the show.

-"The Writers of Breaking Bad" gives the writers a turn to show viewers what it's really like to work together and create amazing scripts.

Blu-ray & DVD Special Features Include:

-"Chicks 'N' Guns" is a scene created and produced exclusively for the home entertainment release. Certain that the DEA dragnet that sent Mike fleeing is about to close around him, Jesse enlists Skinny Pete and a stripper to help him forget his woes...until Saul arrives and gives him something entirely new to fear.

-Cast & crew commentaries on every episode

-Deleted scenes

-Outtakes

-Laura Fraser & Jesse Plemons audition footage

-Prison stunt rehearsal footage

-All-new featurettes and more

mrabq (works on the set) recently posted this on IMDB:

Ladies and Gentlemen.......that's a series wrap. BrBa is officially done shooting as of right now. It is now in the hands of post.

He means post production right?

Wow, they just finished now ? I thought they began shooting three weeks ago, that means they spent a lot of time on making the last episode which is good news .

Yep, it has to mean they are in post production now that they are done filming. So far they are sticking to the same schedule as last year. I imagine we will get the official release date sometime near the end of May, then marketing will start in June.

Good times ahead, folks! icon14.gif

That may tie into a theory I've heard - that 'Malcolm In The Middle' was actually Walt's secret second family and at the end of Breaking Bad, we'll see Malcolm show up - stoned out of his f*cking mind - and Walter will realise that his meth has transformed his secret other son into a doped up failed child star.

He'll then commit suicide with the ricin cigarette - and avoid ever going to trial.

The police, needing to pin his crimes on someone will arrest the tarantula that Todd was keeping, the spider tries to defend himself but cannot understand English and so cannot plead 'Not Guilty'. He gets the electric chair, Malcolm gets a trip to acting school with Walts drug money and Hank goes to Maine where he becomes the crooked Mayor of a small logging town.

The end.
