That looks good! Song?

The song is In The Air Tinight by Phil Collins.

By the way, everything in this video is from Season 1. ph34r.gif

I personally think the ending of this season (and the show) is going to be really ambiguous like Walt goes to war with those dudes from Arizona and he eventually just goes for broke and sets up a stand off in the middle of the desert. However the DEA are following his every move and they know about the impending stand off, there's a really intense build up but then it just ends with Walt standing in the middle of the desert with an M60.. the guys from Arizona coming from one direction in their cars and the DEA coming from the other in theirs and nobody knows for sure what happens next.

I agree on the possibility of a final stand from Walt, but I really hope they don't skip the whole shootout like that. I want to hear the sounds of that M60, and see the great Heisenberg riddled with bullets!

Yeah, something like the ending of Scarface

Whatever ending Gilligan has in mind, please... please don't make the ending open for interpretation! I hate movies that ends vaguely and the viewers have to interpret the ending. I just hate that! I want the ending of Breaking Bad to be conclusive, not "open for interpretation sh*t".

However it ends I'm sure people will be disappointed so he may as well leave it for people to make their minds up about how it all actually ends.

There will always be people who are disappointed. But we can trust Gilligan to come up with an ending the majority will love. An ending left for interpretation? Hell no! I want to see who lives and who dies, what happens and what doesn't happen. Keep it simple, no need for silly Hollywood endings. Very few movies with vague endings left for own interpretation fails to satisfy me. However, some movies handled it really good. One such example is The Shining. The main story was concluded but the last scene really added something to the movie.

I hate to come off as a douche but there is clearly no-one breathing in the background in that scene. See for yourself.

It would be a mindtrip though!

Watch that scene again, turn up the volume, and listen very closely. I'm not saying it IS breathing... but it's definitely some kind of heaving sound. There's also a brief sound that sounds like the shutter of a camera taking a picture. It may not be anyone... but you can't deny the ominous sound that is being produced once the POV shot comes up.

I mean, what's up with that POV shot anyway? It's just so random. I can't think of any other shots in the show that happens randomly like that. And the shot seemed to really conceal itself from Walt & Jesse... almost like someone was spying on them.

EDIT: I just watched that scene again. Someone squeals there tires for a bit, so it's a bit hard to tell. I still hear some kind of ominous sound though somewhere in there. Who knows. I guess we will just have to wait and see. cool.gif

Yeah, and most of all, I don't want a happy ending for ANY main character, maybe they get away or something, but I want them to end bad. Like for example Jesse escapes, has a family and stuff, but after some years he gets killed or something, but it better not be a cliché. Stories based upon drug deals and stuff never end happily.

I agree with MOB I reckon the ending will be open ended and up for interpretation. I think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed. A lot of people want different things from the end of the show and only one ending is going to happen. I'll still watch it though.

I think it'll start like it ended, Heisenberg half naked in the desert with a gun.

Well, VG said some people will be disappointed. That's how all endings are... even the ones that are open ended. Just look at the ending of The Sopranos. Alot of people didn't like it because it wasn't very conclusive. I personally think all loose ends will be tied up with BB, and we are going to get a conclusive ending. A great show like this deserves a satisfying conclusion (at least for most of the fans).

I reallly don't want a "cut to black" ending. That would be too much of a cop-out. The writers are very talented, so I'm sure they will come up with something that appeases more than half of the fanbase. There's an interview somewhere of VG saying those exact words. I'll try & find it later.

^ I remember reading about that. It's very possible. How does buying an M60 and wearing a wire go together though? That's the question. Maybe he's helping the DEA, but yet he has his own agenda? Interesting stuff to consider.

I mean, it COULD just be a crease in his shirt. monocle.gif

Breaking bad needs and deserves a conclusive ending and as you said above^ all loose ends will be tied. The show is great, i trust in gilligan and the writers to create something amazing, whatever the outcome, whether i like it or not, i'm sure we'll all be amazed

Well, it's an interesting theory, and Hank MIGHT end up lending him a hand by busting other dealers (Declan and others) but to me it doesn't make sense. Surely Hank wouldn't care about a gun dealer... and on top of that, if the M60 is indeed for Walt himself, why would he be wearing the wire then and there, if he wants to actually buy the gun? That's a pretty big hole in the theory tbh.

And about the series' end, i'm sure it will be pretty damn conclusive. This show doesn't really lend itself to an open ending... with all the madness that goes on with Walt and Jesse. All that sh*t needs to resolve itself. All the secrets Walt has MUST come out in brutal endgame fashion. Whatever it will be, it will end up screwing A LOT of people over (in the last 8 episodes). Nobody is going to come out clean if you ask me, the only big question is if Walt will live or die.

100% agreed.

And about the wires... it sounds very plausible. But I actually don't believe it's going to happen for two reasons.

1: When Gilligan wrote 5.01 he probably didn't know what the other half of season 5B would be about. He had some outlines most likely.

2: Would wires really be visible through the clothes like that? I doubt it. Going undercover with such exposition is very dangerous and the DEA would not endanger the life of someone undercover.

Looks like there is going to be no redemption for Walt. Here's that quote from Bryan Cranston:

“There’s nothing good, there’s not going to be redemption. It’s going downhill – it’s ugly.”

Huh. I wonder why he quit the drug trade, then? Oh, also, I'm interested in producing a cool montage/music video type thing for Breaking Bad. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Is there perhaps a character anyone would want it to be focused on?
