Alright, well I gave everyone about an hour to answer this next question... so here it is:

 

What inspires Hank to continue investigating, after he thinks Heisenberg is dead?

hmmm if i had to guess it was his boss being fired

his boss shared a friendship with fring (thought to be heisenberg at the time) and reflects on hos he did not see it

and wonders out loud who else might be leading a double life

 

this seemed to strike a chord with hank.

At that point, Hank was investigating anyway. I'm talking about when he thought Heisenberg was dead, and he was just about to close the case, but something inspires him to continue the investigation.

walt and co used that cool electro magnet thingymabob to fry the laptop with surveilance at the lab, I would say that then he was close to solving the case. and he would have found that odd, that it got destroyed if heisenberg is dead.

Cool trivia contest. Highly entertaining to follow. The questions were too hard for me though. I haven't revisited any season 1 - 4 episodes so my memory ain't that good. However, I did revisist two episodes today on the train after my class. It takes 1.5 hours to get to my university so I decided to revisit Mandala and Phoenix from season 2. The opening scene in Mandala still made my heart jump a bit. Amazing intro. And the ending in Phoenix, the Jane situation... what can I say? One of the darkest moments in TV-history.

Can't wait until summer 2014. By then all seasons will be released on blu-ray and I will have my 5 day marathon. I don't want to revisit any more episodes because I want to be as fresh as possible for the marathon. 5 days, around 12 episodes per day and a sh*tload of food. I can't wait.

eh I approach it like an all you can eat. that is why i deliberately look for shows that are not new, that are 5 or 6 seasons in that I missed 5 or 6 years ago due to age or something. and get into them. I did it with breaking bad even. After season 4

And it's a little more than 5 months left. They're halfway done filming and we are halfway done waiting. Fair enough

The suckers at tv planning over here FINALLY decided to start showing season 3. They aired season 1 and 2 like a year ago and now season 3 is on. Maybe season 4 is coming. Anyway, i hope this means season 3 will be available on DVD/Blu-Ray soon... been waiting forever for that...

what's everyones top episodes or scenes from breaking bad

 

my favourite episode is 4 days out because it is quite a fun episode, quite funny too, especially when the RV does not start

closesly followed by half measures as that had my favourite scene in it and another funny hank moment. You guys know which one

 

my favourite scene is the end of half measures. where jesse is walking up to the 2 dealers who killed the kid, readying his gun, they are readying their guns. and jsut before shots start flying walt runs them both down picks up the gun of the surviving dealer and shoots him in the head. when I first saw that scene I was speechless

I still think 'Crazy Handful of Nothing', S1E6 is the greatest. It was the first one where he was bald and that intro gets you thinking "W T F" and what he did was sooo bad-ass (FYI, it's him visiting Tuco). The Hank shootout was very intense as well (even though the bullet was never supposed to just be there lol). The whole mystery around the plane crash and the Twins with the crazy intro's is (was) definitely a big highlight. OF COURSE the Gus execution was very, very awesome. Walt killing those dealers is also right up there. And what about Gus slithing Victor's throat??? Other than that there's the explosion with Danny 'Tortuga' Trejo which was a good one... Jesus, i could keep going all day. My point being, all the highlights from the show are so incredibly intense that i love them all.

 

But, if i had to pick one, 'Crazy Handful of Nothing' is my favourite episode. But not hands down

Yeah the bullet fell out of his pocket when he pulled out another clip, it was a special bullet that the arms dealer had told him to keep.

Yep. A hollow-point bullet. Which explains why his head basically exploded when Hank shot him.

 

As for MY favorite scene in the whole series, that's a tough one. There's just so many. One that sticks out the most though is at the end of season 4, after Walt kills Gus and tells his wife "I won." There's something really sinister about that scene. I mean, sure Walt won the season long chess game... but at what cost? The final shot of the Lilly of the Valley shows us. Also, once Walt killed Gus, it made him feel invincible, & in turn... cocky (as we can see in season 5). Walt deciding to corner the market for himself, rather than getting out of the business altogether after killing Gus is perhaps the greatest (worst) milestone Walt has got to thus far, and in that decision will lie his downfall. He should have got out while he could... but instead, he goes on a massive power trip.

 

That is probably my favorite scene... because it's such a turning point for Walt's character.
