^ If you add up all the indirect deaths/other situations Walt has caused, indeed you'll see just how much chaos he causes. It's crazy. We had a summery of that a few pages back, right? It was mindboggling. But Jane's death is not something he caused. Yes he could've/should've woken her up, any normal person would. But if he wasn't there it would've happened anyway. His reaction was none, he didn't want Jesse to know he was there, but that wouldn't be a big problem though, he would just have some explaining to do. So, he should've woken her up for sure, but he didn't. Maybe if the situation wasn't over so quickly, he would've come to his senses. And he had no idea Jane's dad was the cause of that crash 'till waaay later though.

Surprisingly matching description, indeed  cry.gif

Well, if you think about it... it IS Walt's fault that Jane died. Sure she probably would have overdosed anyway... but Walt might have sped up that process.

When he was shaking Jesse to try and wake him up, he accidentally knocked Jane on her side... causing her to choke on her own vomit. So in the end, Jane's death was Walt's fault. smile.gif

^ Oh now that you mention that, yeah that did happen. But still... she would start puking, and she was not gonna wake up. It's still very questionable what he did... and he was shocked himself as well, but hey... what's done is done right orly.gif

However, let's talk about that a bit more when we get there.

But yeah, I will be watching the first episode of season 2 tonight, Seven Thirty-Seven. And of course, I will be posting my annual review. So stay tuned! Until then, I present to you this emotional tribute to Jesse Pinkman:

DAMMMNNN Walking Bad? MAN that cracked me up!!

BTW, i see people are still coming to the thread, so look, you can jump in on whatever we're talking about regarding the rewatch, i mean, why not? If you read something interesting, contribute! Should be fun.

That is a great tribute vid man! Haven't seen any in a while! Really reminds me that it's not all about Walt... certainly not.

Hey, y'all should read this interview GTA-King shared with me (no spoilers):

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/31/b..._n_2049693.html

Few interesting remarks:

He speaks frankly here about the "terror" he feels trying to create the best possible endgame for the meth-dealing saga.

Yeah, i can imagine! You try coming up with a perfect plot...

We’re plugging away on the fourth episode out of the final eight.

Yeah BITCH! They're already halfway done! Good news!

Seven Thirty-Seven

First off, I will be doing these reviews a bit differently from now on. Instead of summarizing the WHOLE episode, I will just be taking snippets form scenes I find interesting and putting them into bullet points. The main reason I decided to do it like this from now on is that I just don't feel like typing that much because not enough people are participating. So yeah, feel free to discuss any bullet points you find interesting. Here we go:

-I remember how confused I was the first time I seen that flash forward of the teddy bear. I thought that Walt decided to cook in his house and that there was a big explosion. I would have NEVER guessed it was from an airplane collision. Great stuff!

-Seeing how unexpected this flash-forward was makes me wonder what the one in season 5 has in store for us. It's totally going to be unexpected though, I know that. What do you guys think is going to happen?

-Walt says he needs to make $737,000. Anyone notice how this is an easter egg to the 737 Airplanes that collide in the season finale? Talk about attention to detail. Also, Walt estimating how much he needs to make shows us that he sees an end game at this point. We will have to see when Walt decides NOT to pursue the end game anymore. Going to be interesting to try and find the moment when Walt wants to CONTINUE cooking without having an endgame.

-Here's an interesting easter egg you might have not known. In the episodes "Seven Thirty-Seven," "Down," "Over," and "ABQ" it shows the flash forward of the teddy bear. It's a code to the last scene of season 2. Pretty neat, huh?

-When Tuco tells Walt and Jesse "You're done" it's just like the scene in season 5 when Walt tells Saul "We're done when I say we're done." Perhaps Walt sees himself as badass as Tuco at that point... or maybe he is just obsessed with power. I'm guessing the latter.

-I think eventually Marie's subplot will collide with the main plot. Anyone else?

That concludes this episode. Feel free to add anything. Next weekend... Grilled. icon14.gif

I'll be back later to join in man. First it's FC Twente - Feyenoord time... GO FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM

(yeah i'm way excited about this match today, big game bruhh)

EDIT: F*CK! We got our asses handed to us... 3-0 sad.gif

Loving the bullet points system man! I think it's better tbh.

BTW i just thought about this the other day... can't believe this thread is approaching 100 pages man... i've been here since page 10 man... crazy!

EDIT: Well here's my view on thangs, great episode. Not really much to discuss though...

I remember how confused I was the first time I seen that flash forward of the teddy bear. I thought that Walt decided to cook in his house and that there was a big explosion. I would have NEVER guessed it was from an airplane collision. Great stuff!

Yes man, that is great stuff! I too couldn't help but reminisce about how very confused i was the first time... there are more exciting moments just like this one that make you wanna forget them all and go watch it all again... but that's not possible... Damn. Still fun to watch though smile.gif But this episode really made me think how great it was to see it all for the first time... oh well...

Walt says he needs to make $737,000. We will have to see when Walt decides NOT to pursue the end game anymore. Going to be interesting to try and find the moment when Walt wants to CONTINUE cooking without having an endgame.

Yeah this is a sign that he really is all about the money at this point. I would've rounded it up to a million... why not right? biggrin.gif

In the episodes "Seven Thirty-Seven," "Down," "Over," and "ABQ" it shows the flash forward of the teddy bear. It's a code to the last scene of season 2.

Goddamnit GTA-King! I wanted to post that! lmao icon14.gif Real neat though, right?

When Tuco tells Walt and Jesse "You're done" it's just like the scene in season 5 when Walt tells Saul "We're done when I see we're done." Perhaps Walt sees himself as badass as Tuco at that point... or maybe he is just obsessed with power. I'm guessing the latter.

I think Walt definitely feels like a 'bad-ass' at that point, but way more deep-founded than a lunatic like Tuco. Walt understands that what he's become is big. It's profound, the way he became this king-pin. That's why i think he is more addicted to the power, and season 5B will be about him reclaiming this position again. Even though at this point he wants to quit, i'm sure he will he dragged back in. And we'll have a major showdown in store for us.

I thought of this earlier, i made up my mind how the series will end. What i think will happen in the ending: Hank might 'lend a hand' to Walt at first, but for some reason this will not last long (Walt asks too much of Hank, Hank won't take it, that's where the tables turn.) And i'm fairly sure Walt will kill Hank. Yes. I really believe this is what it is all gonna lead up to... but, after he outs Walt. I am interested in knowing what you think about this.

About Marie's shoplifting... i don't really think it will become a major part of the ending. It's all just to show us that Hank is really a little bit of a hypocrite. Because he knew about it, man! 'If i knew you were gonna return it... etc. etc.' That was trippy! Kinda forgot about this part. However, i think it will come to play at a certain point: Hank's downfall, because when all is said and done, and people start to find out Heisenberg is his brother-in-law, this is the type of thing that will cost him his credibility, and bite him in the ass.

So all in all, it was a great episode to kick off season 2.

Hell, they got abducted ffs smile.gif Never have i wanted to go ahead so bad and watch the next episode in advance. Maybe i will man, i'll see.

Few pointers:

- That ricin montage... loved it! Even though they aren't cooking meth, it's my favourite montage so far.

- I guess we have a new quote, huh? 'Let's put a pin in it.' lol

- Hey, you noticed that neon sign at The Dog House? In the first shot, the 'weenies' go outwards, the next shot inwards. 'Huh, wth?' You might say, but since every little thing like that is to be taken seriously, it might really be a symbol for duality. The opposites of things. Call me crazy but this was my first thought when i saw it.

Oh, and this episode had another great track featured at the credits!

I thought they produced it themselves, but no! LMAO it's from a band called 'Holy F*ck' and the song is called 'They're Gonna Take My Thumbs!' lol. Enjoy:

I've actually been on a soundtrack journey this week, i got a hold of all the tracks from season 1 i really like, even the hard to find ones... i will be posting these tomorrow, i'm sure you guys will enjoy them as well icon14.gif Don't worry, i'll only pick the ones i really like... I thought Season 2 overall was unexpected, and it might be my favorite season over all.

I eventually notice the titles and how they spelled out a code for the finale, but it had to be spelled out for me haha.

When I first saw the flashfoward I honestly thought that it was possibly a look into the future where Jesse and Walt would be dead OR I thought it was Walt, Jr. and Skyler, but I thought it would have been a result of an assassination attempt on Walter's life.

@Johnny Playvert....wouldn't be too sure of Walt killing Hank. I am not sure how that will play out. Walt WILL be on the run from the authorities. Make no mistake. In fact at the into of Season 3 we saw several news programs discussing the plane crash, I wonder if we will ever see a scene like that again but with Walt being exposed to the world. That's why he grows hair, and has the beard. It would be perfect!

@Johnny_Playert: Alot of great points man! But one thing I would like to talk about is the ambiguity of the flash-forwards. We all know how ambiguous the teddy bear one was, but let's talk about the Denny's flash forward a bit and try and understand it better. If you was to listen closely to the discussion between Walt and the waitress, you would see that he has been traveling from New Hampshire to New Mexico in 30 hours straight... only stopping for gas. How is he staying awake? Is he using his product to stay awake? Possible. Is pill he takes in the bathroom keeping him awake? Also possible. What can we conclude from this? Walt is in a big ass hurry for some reason. Now, we know that Vince Gilligan said the reason he returns is to protect someone. So maybe that's the reason he's in a hurry. I don't know, just something I thought I should point out (even though me and you discussed this on PSN already tounge.gif)

Aren't they supposed to start filming this month? I've searched like crazy all over the Internet but haven't found anything to verify this. Now would be a good time for them to start filming which means they will be done in March probably which means we could have Breaking Bad in June.

^ I heard they start filming in early December. I remember reading they are only a little over halfway through writing the episodes. My prediction is:

-Start filming early December

-Finish Late March, early April

-April-May they do the editing, finishing touches and whatnot

-May-July they start marketing

-July 14th premier

So cannot wait till next summer for the last part of Breaking Bad.

-The opening scene is one of the best I think. It really makes you wonder "What the f*ck is going on?" I remember the first time I saw it I thought someone was locked in the trunk trying to get out.

-Anyone else think it's odd how Hank sniffed Walt's car seat when he was investigating it? Did he get a whiff of chemicals? The scene follwing that, Hank's face looks very confused. I don't know, I just thought that was kinda ominous.

-The second cell phone. Ahhh. I really think that is going to come back and bite Walt in the ass at some point, because in season 5 Hank finds out that it wasn't Walt having the affair. So it's possible he will try and determine the real purpose of the second cell phone. Another piece to the puzzle.

-The first appearance of Hector! Who would have known that little bell would eventually be the detonator of a bomb? Ding. Ding.

-I think this is rather interesting. Walt goes missing. Hank knows Jesse "sold him some pot." Hank then looks for Jesse's car, and finds Tuco... the very man he is after. We know now that Hanks knows Jesse is connected with the blue meth, so it's possible in season 5B Hank will put the pieces together and realise that Walt was allied with him... especially if he recollects that scene in the desert with Tuco. He can't just see that as a coincidence. Just another piece of the puzzle to bringing down Heisenberg.

-lol, that scene with the fly swatter. So funny, but yet, so ironic. tounge.gif

-The amazing shootout at the end. I have to admit, I gained alot of respect for Hank after that.

Another great episode this was, indeed! Next weekend... Bit by a Dead Bee. Can't wait to discuss that one!

Yeah, i love these opening shots. Some (if not all) of them throughout BrBa are genuine 'Whaaaaaat' moments and seeing them again is great! Just goes to show how good this show is. Best opening (by far) is the one from 'A Crazy Handful of Nothing' of course, where you see him walking to his car after confronting Tuco. So much bad-assery going on there, and 'He's bald???' at the same time. But i digress. This one is great as well.

Hey good point bringing up the fact Hank did that, i wanted to discuss that as well. Well, ultimately, if he really would've smelled something, they would have hinted at it or show his reaction... but my first thought was 'Thank god he didn't smell the other headrest', from Walt's seat... because there would be the strongest smell. So ultimately, i'd say nice try writers, but this is not going to come back i think.

Shiiit, the first time i saw how Hector 'outsmart' Walt & Jesse with the dinging, i lost it bro! This was a great part of the episode (this episode was awesome anyway). And it really took all the man's strength to throw that plate of the table, huh? Poor old bastard lol.

Just the overall presence of Tuco causes suspense (originally). Once again, very well portrayed by Raymond Cruz, very well. I liked how he got f*cked by our boys in the end though. How Walt didn't gave a sh*t, basically said 'Yeah we tried to poisin you, f*ck you' and how he got mauled by Jesse with the rock. Great acting by Aaron Paul there as well, you could really feel the 'panick' of someone who was about to die. But W T H man, they should've shot the whole clip in his face instead of thinking 'let him bleed'... are you crazy Walt? That's a half measure bro! wink.gif

To be honest, by the time S5B starts, there are sooo many dots Hank could connect, this is just one of them. But a strong one nonetheless.

But Hank was really a king in that shootout, real focused, as soon as Tuco came in his sight, he was gone (at the end). Good for Hank lol. But f*ck Hank smile.gif

Hey, i wanted to discuss something. Remember how Tuco said, his nephews were coming and Walt better be 'on that truck'? Do you think that is actually the same truck they crossed the border with? The one they shot up? Because if it is and that didn't happen, would they have been there much sooner? Maybe even in time before Hank arrived? Because then Walt & Jesse got REAL lucky huh? I'm not sure about this theory, tell me what you think...

Anyhoo... this episode really made me realize just how much he puts his family through... really, REALLY devastating stuff if you start to realize it. Having your father (or husband, or whatever) missing just like that must be horrifying...

And also, it showed us that Walt did actually invest in Jesse before all this... back at school he went the extra mile to try and get the best out of Jesse, as his mom says, and now he's doing the same. He really has a connection with the guy.

Yeah the fly swatter was real funny, you know what else cracked me up? The way they sad 'Doesn't that seem strange to you? Yes. Strange. Unusual. - 'Unusual...'' lmao i watched that a couple of times. There's definitely some comedy there.

I almost forgot, remember how Hank said Gonzo and Tuco were brother-in-laws? I found that interesting, did Gonzo hook up with Tuco's sister or the other way around? Because who knows, maybe (just maybe) if it means Tuco's sister will pop up in S5B, claiming Walt's ass. That's a big maybe though.

Hey, you gus seen this?

Ohh the scene where the car was bouncing around? I thought somebody was either trying to escape..or having sex.

It was deffinately chemicals that probably rubbed off into the car.

I wonder if Walt still has that second cell phone, then Hank could check the messages, voicemails, and recent calls.

To me it is still shocking that Hector would become a somewhat main character. I thought at most he would be in three episodes and that's it. Did not expect him to get a backstory, as well as being continued into Season 4.

Cannot wait till we see Hank putting all this stuff together.

The shootout was amazing, a little less intense than the shootout with the cousins but still pretty cool. Even though Hank has had back/leg problems I hope he will get into another shootout at somepoint...maybe even with Walt.

"His flaws are certainly his large ego, an inability to control his temper, and his willingness to make large moral compromises. To me, that's a very interesting character. A guy who's in his mid-40s and on the cusp of middle age who doesn't know what to do, but made a bunch of money and does not know what to do with it. He's theoretically won, but the spoils of victory aren't necessarily what he imagined."

@Johnny_Playert: I pretty much agree with everything you say, man. About The Cousins, that's a good point. In my opinion though, plans changed once they learned Tuco died. At first they were on a "pickup trip." But after learning of Tuco's death, it changed to a "vengeance trip." So that changed the way they entered New Mexico. icon14.gif

@carloff1212: That sounds like Michael, for sure! Can't wait to see what his story is going to be all about. Sounds like it's going to be very similar to Walter's... so it's bound to be a good one!

What do you think of the methalymine logo lol? Nah just kidding, that's nothing... it's a bee and the one on the shirt is a butterfly lmao, but the shape looks the same. Do you know what it is based on though? The bee?

BTW man... what a trip it must be for Walt to end up abducted by a maniac, held up in the desert with a demented former cartel boss, almost getting killed but kicked said maniac's ass... only to find out you're goddamn DEA-agent brother-in-law just pops right up who unknowingly saves your ass from former mentioned maniac... hahah Breaking Bad is a trip man!

Anyone else hoping the series finale will be a two hour-long special or something? I'm expecting more than the final episode to be wrapped up in one hour.

That would be great!

I've been following Aaron Paul's Twitter ever since the end of season 5A. But so far he hasn't said anything about the final 8 episodes. But today... today he f-ing commented on the first episode!!! I'm really hyped right now! Please start filming NOW!!

This is what Aaron posted on Twitter:

Aaron Paul ‏@aaronpaul_8

I just finished reading the first episode of the final season of Breaking Bad and words can not express what I just experienced. Holy sh*t.

...and later he posted;

Holy sh*t.” I'm telling you!! The tension in this episode alone made my head explode a little bit.

Edit: 230 days left until the premiere of the final season of Breaking Bad! (Assuming the premiere is on July 14th)

Six and a half months left! A little over half a year that is. Six and a half months, damn. It makes me a sad little panda sad.gif

Well at least we have GTA5 to occupy us for 1 - 2 months until Breaking Bad premieres. And I'm studying at college right now so the 6 months will be over in no time! This time, this f-ing time I will avoid all the f-ing spoilers! Can you believe some asshole spoiled the death of Mike? There I was, an innocent young man watching the preview for todays episode and some asshole spoiled the death of Mike right there on the comment section! I actually didn't decide to read the comments but this particular comment was the highest rated comment so I didn't have to scroll down far to catch the comment in my periphery view. The kid who died in the end of Dead Freight was another thing I had spoiled, but that was my own fault. Now that I think of it, it wasn't that big of a deal. But the death of Mike was a big deal because he was such a major character. Nontheless, the death of Mike was one of the best scenes in the entire series.

What could he possibly be referring to here? The "tension" I mean. The tension might be Hank vs. Walt but can we really expect Hank to confront Walt this early in season 5B? I would expect Hank to try and disprove himself over and over again during the first 4 - 5 episodes before he starts realizing that his proof is solid and he must confront him. A fist fight could possibly occur here? But this I believe (or hope) that it will happen mid-season.

What else could he be referring to? What "tension" is he talking about. Let's put our brains together people! I doubt it's Hank vs. Walt although it's a pretty high possibility. Could Madrigal make an appearance in the second half of season 5? I believe that part of the story is over but we can not know for sure. I know that the head of Madrigal commited suicide but someone else must have taken over or known about what Madrigal was up to?

Maybe the "tension" is Walt vs. Declan or something. Declan made millions off of Walt and he probably wants to pursuade him to keep cooking or there will be "consequences".

OK so here's what I think the "tension" is.

1: Walt vs Ze Germans: 5% possibility

2: Jesse finding out about Jane, Brock and Mike: 5% possibility

3: Walt vs Hank: 40% possibility

4: Walt vs Declan: 50% possibility.

If the "tension" is one of the first 2 in my list above, I will be really surprised. And Breaking Bad is full of surprises smile.gif

^ Thank you so f*cking much for sharing, man! The fact that he is allowed to read the first episode shows that all the episodes have been written, and they will start filming very soon. Early next month I'd say. No clue what this tension could be, but knowing Breaking Bad, it will be the last f*cking thing you'd expect! f*ck I'm so excited! I remember back before season 5A, we would try and harvest all the info we can. I'm glad that's starting up again! icon14.gif

By the way, I am going to cancel the Rewatch. Not enough people are contributing to it, so therefore, it's a waste of time. It will be better just to have a marathon close to season 5B's release.
