Just started the episode, but I want to point out one thing before I forget.

The first shot of the abandoned White house, you can see a plane flying over it. Quite eery.

Holy f*ck the last 3 minutes of that premiere were probably the most intense moments of television I've ever witnessed, I hate to dick ride this show like so many people like to do but that sh*t was amazing, can't way to see how it all unfolds.

WOW, that was great!

The way the White House was in horrid condition with everything tagged and ripped apart was so eerie! Especially when I saw HEISENBERG tagged on the wall! A lot must have happened between the flash-forward and now. It's as if the whole world now knows that Heisenberg lived in that house. Also, the way Carol, the neighbor, looked at him when she saw that he came back was interesting! I mean, if you think about it, I would be shocked to see that my neighbor was behind a drug kingpin all along!

In the scene where Lydia went to the car wash was also my favorite because the way Walt talked to her, all discreet, was the same way Gus talked to Walt when they first met. As much as Walt doesn't like to admit it, Gus influenced him A LOT! The way Gus hid in plain sight was very genius, so I really can't blame Walt.

The way Jesse threw away the money out to the street in his car was interesting. He's clearly showing that he's "out of the game."

And last, the part with Hank and Walt was very intense!! I figured something will happen just by the way scene opened in the beginning. The yellow RC car was very symbolic and foreshadowed the face off. I still wonder what is going to happen to Marie because it seems as if she's in danger.

TL;DR THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT EPISODE! THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END! cryani.gif

Great episode but i wasnt expecting the confrontation between hank and walt to be in this episode. and walt telling hank to ''tread lightly'' was intense. I dont know whats gonna happen to jessie now but that look when he turned away from walt when they were talking looked like jessie wanted to kill him. Great way to start off and cant wait for next week.

Overall so/so episode. Start was intense and the ending was intense.... those were the moments that put you on the edge of the seat and make you excited for the rest. Middle part was rather boring to be honest. Maybe because I need to get back into it but still.

That episode was the best piece of television I've ever watched. The ending was mindblowing.

Hmm man ugh this episode was the sh*t.

I can't wait to find out how Walt's house got into that condition. And who wrote Heisenberg on the wall. Also why does he need to come back to get the ricin?

Just like everyone else I wasn't expecting the Hank & Walt confrontation so soon but it worked very, very well.

I wonder where the next episode will pick up in regard to Hank & Walter.

Also I'm very happy that this episode began right where the last one left off. I was hoping I'd get to see Hank get off the toilet & I did.

Can someone explain to me what Walt wanted to say with "tread lightly"? English is not my native language, so I kind of didn't understand that.

He's letting Hank know that he better be careful if he's planning on coming after Heisenberg, because he's a very, very dangerous man.

That sh*t was dope! Something I rarely say and actually mean it. I'm so damn eager to see how this plays out. Judging from the beginning, someone pretty dangerous goes after Walt.

The end has come...and it's amazing.

I think I liked this episode more than the rest of S5 so far.

I for one loved every bit of that episode. No matter how boring some of you saw it; I enjoyed every single piece.

From the part where Walt's going back to his home (which I assume was either raided by the police/DEA or perhaps a rival faction) to the intense stand-off between Walt and Hank; everything was great. Take that scene at the car wash for instance- the way Skyler shoo'ed off Linda like a bitch really showed off the whole concept of wanting to return back to a 'normal' life after enduring a whole phase with Walt that included money laundering, lies and at one point cheating. Also, the way Jesse wants to just throw all his dirty money away merely because he believes that it's wrong to carry it because it was all earned through murder, greed and the likes also hinted at the whole concept of wanting to return back to normalcy. Leave the darkness behind: that's exactly what Jesse is doing. The part where Hank was looking through evidence files, which included details on Gus Fring, Gabe, the whole shebang - that part cast light on the whole concept of Hank's venture of wanting to find Heisenberg and if it means looking back through old files then goddammit it's worth it. Hank's little car crash and panic attack? Merely a giveaway of Hank's breakdown as he dwells back into the phase of looking for Heisenberg once again. Walt's lying? The ex-chemistry teacher/ex-meth lord is as evil as ever.

Every single piece built up to the last scene which was truly a stand-off that crippled me. Throughout that whole scene I sat completely frozen; my eyes and brain were locked on the two. The brunt of the confrontation truly marked the beginning of a fight that Walt and Hank are never gonna back down from. Absolutely mind-blowing scene that served its purpose at the right time.

This is gonna be a damn good f*cking season, and I can't wait for episode 2.

HOLY sh*t! That episode was slow, but so damn intense! The writing and acting is definitely great. I could read the characters so well without them saying the obvious. This sh*t is going down fast.

I was kind of surprised how Hank dealt with the situation, but I think he made a mistake about taking the book. Of course for the sake of the show ending, you can expect these mistakes.

He's pretty much warning him not to mess with him, bad ass isn't it?

Damn what a fine piece of work this episode turned out to be! As most of you, I didn't expect the Hank-Walt confrontation to happen so quickly but in the end it worked very well. The cold open was very memorable. When I saw "Heisenberg" written on the wall I instantly knew that Walter's name would appear in media. Perhaps this is the reason why Walter leaves ABQ. Because he's been caught and media all over the country covers this story. And how about that ending. Easily one of the finest moments in Breaking Bad.

Also, Lydia said something about the new meth to be 68%. Walter probably let Todd take over.

The only negative thing about season 5b so far is that we'll have to wait another week for the next episode.

What is neat how we see Carol's shocked and frightened image before we saw her happy and cheerful image. It already establishes the horrible things to come in future episodes. I mean the whole flash forward does that, but the way it is presented and getting away with that is what makes it so pleasing. The viewers already know sh*t is going down, why not tease them a bit?

I was on the edge of the seat the whole time. It's incredible how well these guys can make you feel what the characters feel. That's not something that even the creators of The Sopranos were able to do. I loved that feeling of impending doom the moment when Walt realized that Hank knows everything. Absolutely brilliant. And the first few moments of the episode were intense.

Overall, tonight's was a great episode. The cold open (when Walt retrieves the risin behind the outlet) was very intriguing and will undoubtedly play a role in the final scenes of the show. Also, the last scene (when Walt confronts and threatens Hank) was frankly a perfect way to cap off what was, while relatively slow, still a solid episode.

Still, I thought the season 5.0 premier was stronger... the scenes with the industrial electromagnet were just too f*cking cool. cool.gif

I wonder where Jesse will be in the not so distant future. I really think he will find out what Walt has been hiding from him.

Walt Heisenberg threatening Hank was a very intense moment.

From now on, there is no Walt, there is only Heisenberg.

Can't wait for the next episodes.

My predictions for the final fates of the characters are:

Jesse kills himself

Walt kills Skyler

Walt kills Lydia

Walt and Hank have a showdown were both of them die

Flynn and Marie are eating breakfast together

Great episode, really great episode icon14.gif.

The opening scene was awesome, 'Heisenberg' written on the wall and the skaters. That stand off with Heisenberg and Hank was amazing, definitely what I wanted.

Whilst I always found Walt charismatic, I never once rooted for him. My favourite character has always been Hank, he's so affable but you can tell he has a sharp mind.

I think this episode really validated my admiration for the character, he's dedicated to justice, even if that means throwing his own family into chaos. The show is full of moral grey areas, but I think he's the real hero of the story.

And if you haven't checked out Dean Norris in Under The Dome, I highly recommend it.
