omgz153
What is going to happen in the future of humanity nobody knows. Growing trends in our current society show that the future will consist of a very globalized, overpopulated and polluted society that promotes same sex marriages, atheism, and individualism. Most languages that are spoken will disappear because of globalization and countless cultures will be gone. This is not my opinion though, all of this information is from a website called http://www.futuretimeline.net. They basically give a speculative timeline of future history. It's quite an interesting read and some of the information actually seems plausible. {QUOTED FROM THEIR WEBSITE}Welcome to the future! Here you will find a speculative timeline of future history. Part fact and part fiction, the timeline is based on detailed research that includes analysis of current trends, projected long-term environmental changes, advances in technology such as Moore's Law, future medical breakthroughs, and the evolving geopolitical landscape. Where possible, references have been provided to support the predictions. FutureTimeline.net is intended to be an ongoing, collaborative project that is open for discussion - we welcome ideas from scientists, futurists, inventors, writers and anyone else interested in the future of our world. Tryst
It'll be a bit like it is now, except with more stuff. That and you know; human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria. Art Dela Me-+-Ze Music Le Me
bobgtafan
The only important thing about the future is the moment we reach post scarcity in resources, if we don't then there are only two futures I can see. A. Star Trek/Star Wars style traveling the galaxy harvesting resources and probably meeting aliens in the process B. Apocalypse of some kind that retakes humanity to pre-industrial era Anything less than those three outcomes I don't think is possible. I don't see how in the world if we don't take resources from other planets how we'll get past limit resources on earth. If we don't get to that stage or just develop some tech that allows us to skip to scarcity then I can only see resource wars that destroy most of humanity as the logical conclusion to nationalism, nuclear weapons and limited resources. Anyone else see any other possiblities? Of course nano-tech or trans humanism is under reaching post scarcity.

Milk bags for east coasters only. Wtf are you guys thinking? I was going to say. When I grew up, we had milk bags (I'm from New Brunswick), but I've yet to see any in Alberta. I always ended up tearing too big a hole in the bag.
Viperman
There isn't going to be a future. We all die this year, 2012! /sarcasm - [- No Fear. No Limits. No Equal. -] - - [- Ride For Life -] - Digging deep. It's not just an expression that's thrown around the locker room at halftime. It's a way of life. A daily code that drives a champions existence. It's not always glamorous. It's not always blue skies and sunny days, and its certainly not always welcome. But love it or hate it, to become a true champion take pure, unrestricted commitment. Slamman
I for one can see hipsters taking over and then complaining about how everything was better in the past It already is that way, at least most people complain it was BETTER in the past, and since there is still a recession, extending Globally, and threat from Iran and N. Korea for more Global Conflict, and the idea that Give Peace a Chance has no merit, well, I'll say we're already going to HELL in a Handbasket! trip
Things are going to get better. Science is forever progressing in all directions. Soon there will be less demand for fossil fuels. Evolution will continue to play a role in population and soon it will peek and than decline thanks to less and less people being able to actually reproduce. Now bear in mind none of us will see it as we sup upon a nice tall bag of milk and watch the world go to sh*t. Edit: *Great. I'm retarded now. I didn't notice this was older. At least it is from this month...and year Edited February 1, 2012 by trip My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
