Evil.Tim
The first console that I owned was a PS1, and I did most of my "growing up" with it before moving on to the PS2.
GrndZero
I started on the Atari 2600 when it came out. I was 6 at the time my Dad brought it home. Next console a number of years later was the Sega while I was in the Army and it just went up from there. I still have all my old console systems, not including the 2600. IceWolf729
PC only gamer here, since my childhood around 1998-1999 (I was about 9 or 10 years old back then). I remember my first games: One of the very first games I played was Quake I. I got into GTA somewhat later, in 2003 when I played GTA Vice City and I've been a big fan since then. Ahh, memories ... GrandTheftFan788
The first console I actually casually picked up and played was my sister's PlayStation (the original fat one), and the first games I played were Tekken and Crash Bandicoot. Oh, such fond memories. I did the exact same thing. The first console i ever played was my sisters PS1?
trip
Atari 800 XE, then Nintendo, back in late 80's. Ah man, I wanted an 800(I don't remember the XE part) so bad. Pac-Man was the f*cking sh*t on that unit. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
Pyrrhic
Grew up with an N64. Fond memories of playing Lamborghini, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie. Then I moved onto a PS1. I was psyched. Mostly played Crash Bandicoot, Loaded, Spyro. Looking back at a 4/5 year old me I'm pretty embarrassed. Finally got a decent console in 2002(?). PS2, introducing myself to GTA. Haven't missed a game in the series since.
Outcast
I've had a number of consoles growing up, the first I remember was the Super Famicom (SNES for most of you guys) but the one I have the fondest memories of is my N64.

spiderman3000
I started gaming with the sega megadrive when I was 4. Still remember playing Mickey Mouse to this day. PS2 though was the best time of my life as a gamer. I am damn sure I will never enjoy gaming as much as I did during the PS2 era(when I had tons of time with nothing to worry about). Redketman
Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, and all the Army Men games for the PS1 I guess you've played Army Men Sarge's Heroes then. I thought it was a good shooting game. I though the game was quite simple, playing as plastic soldiers and all that stuff, but it was very interesting to play the game. I played at later stages too. Never managed to beat the game though as far as I know.

My family owned a pong console once too. (but that was 10 years ago and we already had SNES and PS1 and that stuff) I remember the pong console got regualar pong, tennis, hockey and squash for example. Don't know that the console was called but I think it was orange. Anyway, there were a lot of pong consoles back in the day despite the fact that the games were very, very simple. That game shaped who I am today It took me an extremely long time to beat, as the last 2 levels (living room at Christmas) are almost impossible to beat. Imagine what an Army Men game would be like today, it pisses me off that 3DO sold the franchise.
Tashan
When you was a kid,on what console did you play? When I was a Kid there were no consoles, in fact, In India console gaming still isn't even 2% of PC (even that's low at 20-23%). Long story short - With what did I grow up? Was PC game Wolf and Road Rash.

FlavouredMilk
SNES. All. The. Way. It was my first console, and I had a whole tub full of cartridges for it, Harvest Moon, Mario Super Bros, Tetris, SFX Racer (I think that was the title? God, I'm getting old enough to forget!) and of course, Mortal Kombat... 2... I think. After that I got my hands on my Dad's PS, and Oh, My, God did I spend hours of my life on that thing.... Until I got my own. Driver, Tekken 3, Resident Evil 2 and ofcourse whatever else I could access, by now, gaming was already an addiction. My Dad bought my PS2, a platinum one, not even slim. I still use it to date. The PS2 and all it's titles stole my heart, GTA III-SA, naturally, Area 51, Need For Speed: Underground 2 through to Carbom, Tom Clancy titles, Driv3r and Parallel Lines, XIII. Why are there so many GREAT games I remember, but very few coming out these days? Anyways, once again, my Father fueled my gaming obsession with paying for my PS3, from there, well, we all know the story.
GarrowsKai
SEGA 16-Bit and then PS1 (Micro Machines was the boss!) Good old Gameboy and GB Colour on the handhelds as well. Then got a PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, DS, PS3. I missed out on getting a DreamCast and I've never really been big on Nintendo bar the handhelds (better than PSP in my mind) although I do have an old SNES that I picked up for £20 lol. But it's cool that Nintendo made that console. I don't think many people know that they made a console before NES.
