Chargr
So yeah I have a virus on my laptop and its not letting me open any programs. When I click any application or try to install it just pop ups with a "Open with" message. Any help? Windows Vista OS. Thanks. EDIT: Fixed it. CryptReaperDorian
Did you happen to catch the Win 7 Antispyware 2012 virus that's been spreading around? I got that yesterday, and Norton informs me that it cured my PC of a virus when I turned it on today (no more of those messages from the fake anti-virus program). However, I now have a similar problem. I can't open any .exe files. I get the "Open with" box, and I only managed to get onto IE 9 by clicking the option that says "Search online for appropiate program." or something similar to that. Windows 7. EDIT: Some of these people had exactly the same problem as me. Here is the fix. Just scroll down to choose the "exe" download under "Default Windows 7 File Extension Types:". leik oh em jeez!
Apparently even visiting btjunkie.com will give you this virus. Just figured I'd add that right click>start prevents the "open with" message from popping up. Been happening on XP/Vista/7 for a while on my father's computer and my brother didn't have his computer running for 20 minutes before he got it after I installed his power supply.
