Andreaz1
I've messed around with the Blista Compact to make it look like the beta version: Now I want to let it appear with either gray bumpers or body-coloured ones, but I can't make it happen. Editing carcols.dat didn't work. I use Zmodeler 2 and messing around with the materials didn't work either. Whatever I do, they keep appearing gray only in-game. What is really weird though is that the damaged models seem to be working as they sometimes appear the same colour as the rest of the car but I have no idea how to make the non-damaged models do that. seggaeman
Add a space after the undamaged bumper's material, followed by one of the following specifiers: [prim], [sec] or [3rd]. Those are for primary, secondary and 3rd car colors respectively. You'll probably want primary.
Andreaz1
Yes but if I change the bumper material to the primary colour material, they'll always appear the same colour as the rest of the car so I have to use the secondary, which I am but it's still not working. seggaeman
Alright, I understood what you trying.. Yes you must use secondary (or third/fourth color) if you want a separate set of colors for the bumper. Parts that can be painted in game use materials with specific RGB values. Secondary colors uses 255, 0, 175. See this post for reference. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=158088 Ok so what I suggest is to verify if that secondary color is being exported correctly. Open the car model in RWAnalyze. http://www.steve-m.com/downloads/tools/rwanalyze/ Have a look at the geometry struct corresponding to the bumper and verify if the GeometryModulate flag is set. GeometryModulate (Modulate material color) is required for carpaint. Then check if the first three numbers in the material's color RGBA field correspond to secondary car color.
