ravenmorpheus
Hey there I've recently purchased GTA IV on Steam as it was in a sale with the 1st 2 GTA's, SA, VC and EFLC for £5. I've seen many people using ENB series on GTA IV v1.0.7.0 and tried to get ENB series to work and have tried many different versions but none of them seem to work for me. The problem I get is that the HUD, text and menus all flicker and are generally unreadable and in general the game is unplayable.. When I turn off ENB by using Shift+F12 the problem goes away so I know it's ENB that is the problem. However, and here's the odd thing - when the game came out originally I bought it on retail DVD, but due to my penchant for wanting to preserve my DVD's I patched it up to 1.0.3.0, left it at that and I've used the no-cd patch for 1.0.3.0 ever since so I don't keep having to put the DVD in my drive. And on that DVD version install ENB series works find - I've currently got a version by someone called Gionight installed, but the game is only v1.0.3.0. So I don't understand why on my Steam copy of the game which is v1.0.7.0 ENB does not work - I've even tried the downgrade to v1.0.4.0 method but the same issue still persists. Please could someone give me some help on this as I'd really like to get ENB series working on my Steam version and ditch the DVD install I've got. Thanks. ravenmorpheus
http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=471976 http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...d.php?t=1976640 Thanks but I've already done the reverting to 1.4 thing. Same issue. I believe I've already said that in the OP. Also I wasn't aware ENB is considered a mod, so thanks for the link, but any chance of some actual advice on the issue rather than quoting forum rules? As you can probably tell I don't use these forums a lot so excuse me for my error but you're not being helpful either. Should I repost this in a more suitable sub-forum?
