Tracksuit Hitman
So as some of the staff know, a friend made this account for me, for reasons which I won't broadcast out in public. The thing is, he keeps telling me on Facebook how he reads my messages and such. Some of my messages are private, and I don't wish for him to see them, as he's not that much of a close friend, but somebody I met from an online game a while back. Thus meaning, he's actually not really a friend, just somebody I speak to now and then. Thing is, if I change my password on the board he's going to get the confirmation E-Mail saying that the account password's been changed, and also what the password now is. Either that, or he can always use the 'Forgot Password' function. So what I'm wanting to do is to change the E-Mail which this account is registered with. Therefore he can't change my password and/or access my account unless I was to give him both the E-Mail and the password. The thing that's stopping me is this: If I changed my board E-Mail (which my account's registered with), would the friend receive the E-Mail confirming that I've changed it, and also give him more information? Would he be able to simply change it back? aka geobst
Girish
No. A confirmation will only be sent to the account that you have changed your email to. Unless your friend knows the password to your GTAF account, there's nothing he can do to find out.

Dr. John
Many of them forget their password. Same will happen to your friend even if he knows your password. What he will do with that? But if you are in Cyber Cafe or having a Shared PC then change your password.

Once you change your email address, even if he tries to reset your password, you'll be notified about it on the email that you have changed to. He'll never get it. Tracksuit Hitman
Once you change your email address, even if he tries to reset your password, you'll be notified about it on the email that you have changed to. He'll never get it. I see. Well that's good, and for that reason I've now changed both my E-Mail address and the password for this account. After all, I didn't want to be minor-hacked, and I didn't want my privacy to be invaded. Thanks for all of the help on this topic Girish. aka geobst
