To 'improve' the product it would require more investment better spent on the New Releases yet to come. Besides with all the Games being Stolen through Pirating there is no sizeable market to offset the expenses. They'd have to add something to make me buy it. But I wouldn't expect all new graphics, that would be a remake not a re-release. Yeah i know there are PC mods and everything but I'm talking about consoles. I'll be ready to pay 40$ to play it in HD. Plus, by 2014, GTA V will be out for a atleast 1 year or 2 and we won't see another GTA before a very long time. So would you like a HD remake of San Andreas? I don't think anyone would, or should, pay $40 for San Andreas. They would be doing a real cash-grab there if they tried to sell it for $40. It's a great game to this day, but not worth that much, even if they do "enhance the graphics" at all. For example I personally will just play my PS2 version till I die, instead of buying it again on any other systems. And I don't think an actual "portable" release is completely out of the question. I think the PS Vita is slightly more powerful than the PS2 isn't it? They are obviously experienced with the platform style at this point, so porting it shouldn't be a big deal. It's nothing bigger than GTA III and that didn't get a re-release and that game changed gaming forever, the most we can expect is an iPod release or something [or whatever device is big in 2014]. If San Andreas gets some big hype though for it's anniversary, which it will - because I think pretty much everyone knows it as the greatest PS2 game of all time, and Vice City is ignored THIS October - I'll be really annoyed. Ubermacht Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 Next year is Vice City 10 year, then two years after that is San Andreas, something similar to the GTA III anniversary will be used i think, they can sell more of the collectible action figures. I reckon we'll be seeing mobile ports for VC this year and San Andreas on it's 10th anniversary. In 2001 Bungie released Halo CE. 10 years later they brought the game back with a graphic overhaul and added features. This got me thinking what if R* does the same thing? R* released vice city and gta3 on mobile for their anniversaries but San Andreas is big and it was an huge success. Some fantastic people here developed a mod which allows to play San Andreas using GTA IV engine (no missions) It would be awesome if R* ports GTA: San Andreas in the vastly improved GTA V engine, maybe on next gen and pc. I was kind of hoping they'd do this. GTA3 and Vice City had their "stories" version so why not SA? This could answer some backgrounders on some characters in the game. GTA III had the cool mug with the brass knuckles, that figure of Claude with the detachable hands and weapons. Vice City had a set of figurines and pins.For SA, I was thinking about a model of Sweet's Greenwood with figures of Carl, Sweet, Ryder and Big Smoke. I also wish they would bring back the San Andreas hoodie. 10/24/14 - They still don't have anything really special in the R* warehouse except a San Andreas Kubrick set and I don't like that thing. They made Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, why not San Andreas? Do you think it will even be able to run on an iPhone 5 or any other device? So maybe they can bundle III, Vice City, and SA! What R* should do: Improve textures, models, water, weather, lighting, fire, etc More peds (although not necessary) More vehicles More weapons Custom soundtrack for consoles But there is no need for them to ruin the driving, physics, and whatever else shouldn't be messed with. No need to switch back and forth between old and new consoles. The hard part (the game) is already done, so they don't need to spend months making the storyline, concept art, etc. They could probably finish the HD remaster in a year. They could even add some content if they wanted to. -Able to replay any completed missions -Fix vehicles getting deleted in garages -Harder to make money & more ways to spend it -Better vehicle customization (like in V although the game isn't out yet) -*More clothes -Faster loading times when changing clothes -*More weather (like snow) -*Some kind of cheat that allows you to spawn any vehicle -Make the last driving school mission easier -Able to purchase parking garages -*More weapons * = Not necessary Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
