Yes I know, it's not good.

 

Timecyc will be redone using visualiv timecyc (probably tbogt version)

 

First we typ out in text how the sky, clouds and ambient lighting should look like, starting with Sunny.

Did you check out mine? The nights for sunny and extra sunny are looking good on balanced settings.

 

Also I just wanted to say that if your taking desplay settings into account, people have different monitor settings too. However there isnt much you can do about that.

Anyway, I see that some expected features in the opening post have been removed. Are you still gonna try implementing more RDR things llike vehicles, or weapons (not all of them of course, but perhaps one or two iconic ones like the Winchester or the Peacemaker)?

Well planes behave like normal planes with the correct handling lines! Never played IV SA World Motion before?

Hopefully they are going to add fighter jets in this mod!

to MadJC: i did, but it was kinda hard biggrin.gif Also, i don't think i did it right, but i actually looked through the handling lines (and movedoors) and spawned planes by the model name via SNT. And when i spawned a shamal, it just didn't move at all, though the engine seemed to work. I also spawned some other plane (don't remember which though) and tried flying it. It did fly, but it seemed even not as realistic as SA planes.

to Exxon: the clip shows just the exact feel i expect from the mod biggrin.gif The team though seems to like houses and hills better than some empty desert. Obviously, i'm not the one to judge smile.gif

I think it will fit perfectly, nothing to worry about.

Maybe. I just hope that it doesnt connect to the outside ocean, unless a realistic approch is used.

This is not offical, but I remember Blaster, or Stilldre, or someone who is on the team that they are aiming for a summer release. I'm not 100%.

We want filled map, no empty spaces, when that's achieved, we release it. Now we can only say summer, if that is june or august, we can't tell.

EDIT: Using RDR textures for terrain and TDU2 Ibiza textures for roads now, so don't come up with qute excuses.. sly.gif

@stilldre: You should use the cliff texture on very steap surfaces. Also the paths.img disapeared from the dropbox. Guss you havent uploaded the new one.

 

Anyways, I found a fix for the taxi bug that didnt eat up too much FPS. However it has this annoying red text in the corner with info about the car your in, ect.

 

 

Edit: On the mountains, you should add more green plants. That is on the sides the ocean is on for realism.

Some cliffs must be remodelled cause cs isn't perfect, so thats for later.. I'm going to make an circuit first afterthat airfield, sunpanels and oilwells.

Plants i would like to do as last i think, cause i don't want to have some bushes in the houses etc.

As for cars i think i better use real cars for some bad IV vehicles like Fortune, Blista.. else vehicles.img is now over 250mb, maybe i need to resize some textures in vehicles see if it helps.

Intresting. The taxi bug is caused by the size of the vehicles.img. What if we simply break the vehicles.img up into parts. I can see that working, unless its caused by the toltal.

 

As for the plants, around the island the mountans surround the city. The side of the mountans thats on the water side would have more green plants, and wouldnt be desert like. It would be realistic. I remember learning in Science class that deserts are formed from mountans blocking alot of clouds from getting around them. If the island was in real life, thats most likely what it would look like. It would be mostly on the west side because weather mainly travels west to east.

 

Edit: For the Vehicles, you should break it up alfabeticly so when you replace a vehicle its easier to find.

 

Edit: The team may hate me for announcing this, but I may try and see what this looks like on ICEnhancer 2.0 on 1.0.4.0. I won't post any screens or anything but I may show you screens in PM if it looks really good.

imo, the road lines should be less saturated and possibly cracked/worn. Now dont flame me but will you add bump maps to the roads at some point? (dont do spec maps on pebbles, ugly in my opinion)
