Im aware that there were events going on last year where they were releasing each dlc for free for a short period of time. I wish to buy BF4 now though. Would any dlc's be available for free for the standard edition or would i have to buy the premium? If there are free dlcs, which ones would they be? Nope, unfortunately the DLC was just a limited time offer, with each map pack been free for like a week or so before going back up to the original price, which was pretty gutting since my Internet went down for a week and I missed out on one of the map packs. In all fairness though, it might not even be worth purchasing the DLC at this point in time anyway, since even on the 360 the servers seem pretty quiet for the DLC maps...Very rarely do I find myself getting onto a server that isn't playing the base maps. Loving the learning curve, and I've racked up some impressive (for me, who hasn't played any PVP FPS besides Blacklight Retribution and Planetside 2 for years) kill streaks. Learned quick to PTFO. It's amazing how many players don't use the squad feature properly.
