ltcommander.data
@littlejth Maybe there is multiple Android file names eg: Samsung = UNC HTC = ATC we could probably do with finding out if others with these brands of devices have the same file names on their device brand, if it turns out to be affected by brand then we'll just need a few people with other brand devices to post the file names for their device: eg: LG = xxx Motorola = xxx Sony Erricsson/Sony = xxx etc... *EDIT* Or it could be the CPU used eg: Samsung Galaxy S2 = Samsung Exynos *EDIT2* It might just make sence to post the vehicle file name and device specifications including the Android version number and if the CPU is Cortex A7, A9, A15 etc... and any other specs you can find about your device just to be sure we'll find these differences which trigger the different file names... It isn't related to smartphone manufacturer, it's related to the GPU used. Texture formats in the mobile space are fractured with every GPU maker coming up with their own generally proprietary format that works best on their own hardware. This forces developers to re-encode their textures multiple times. PowerVR GPUs like PVRTC. ATC was developed by ATI, and Qualcomm's GPUs are based on ATI designs so ATC is likely used by Qualcomm SoCs. UNC I'm not sure, but could be related to nVidia and/or ARM Mali (Galaxy S2). ltcommander.data
After some testing with the SET files I have found that certain things are tied together.Enabling lighting effects adds lights to cars and street lamps, not crosswalks or traffic lights. To get traffic lights you need to also enable shadows. I am still testing different things and will post my findings. Just curious if blood is an independent setting? It seems to be tied to shadows. I'm still messing around though and might find it somewhere else. It would be helpful if I had a German GTA3.SET to use as a comparison. tychoma22
from another forum (credit matee89) GTA 3 has been updated to version 1.1. According to Rockstar Games post on Facebook and their homepage, Samsung Galaxy S II is now officially supported ! /source: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswir...droid-upd.html Anyone tried this version yet? -DP-
Hey Guys, I've found out why my generic.txd mod didn't make any changes. Generic_pvr affects the textures and not the normal generic.txd. I managed to open it and so here it is: http://www14.zippyshare.com/v/99916439/file.html XPlay_ please can you test it for me? Frank.s
Could someone try PWs' GTA3 Mission Pack please? If it works then i might make some missions that combine brand new map changes with new vehicle(s) into the missions. Within the limits of the portable devices of course. -DP-
I don't think that it will make much sense. I decompressed all images and now the generic_pvr.txd is 10 Mbyte big instead of 1,6 Mbyte Yeah, but does it fix the white bug? The modded .txd could be using a compression format that only works on PC and not on the portable, decompressing it would remove that.... Frank.s
Nice, shame about the resource usage. Does it slow it down or is using 10 mb of memory the only downside? nkjellman
Here is a GTA3.SET for the iPod Touch 4G.Lights, refraction, shadows, blood, and reduced draw distance with english language. http://www.mediafire.com/?5u9v0g9yeo6l8gs Works great for me, no crashing, and only small framerate hit. Let me know how it goes. On this will I have to keep reconfiguring my controlls so they are all on screen? On the one I use the controlls hang off the screen if I don't reset them everytime I launch the game. Edit: I can't wait for VC to come out on the mobile devices. It has alot more mods than GTA III because it had more time between it and the GTA after it. SA we won't see for another 4 years but VC I think we will see in a year. travrew
Is there any way to install CLEO on this mobile version? I tried copying all the files over to my PC, installing CLEO on them, and then moving them back to my iPod, but it just crashes. Is it even possible to do this? EDIT: Well, if CLEO doesn't work, is there any way to make your cars indestructable or make yourself invincible? I think it would be fun to mess around in god mode. I tried editing the handling.cfg file, and I'm able to make cars faster and heavier, but they still explode even after I set the damage multiplier to 0.
