I need help with Car Mods. I am able to change the handling.cfg and extracted all folders from the obb-file. But I have not only a oldveh_atc.img. I have the oldveh_atc.img, the oldveh_dxt.img, the oldveh_pvr.img and the oldveh_unc.img. Now I dont know, which of these files I have to edit with the IMG-Tool. If I edit all 4 with the exactly same .dff and .txd (I downloaded them with the Crown Vic Taxi) and replace them into the models folder, the game just takes the normal taxi, maybe from the .obb. How can I change this?
(If I only edit the oldveh_atc.img nothing happens too)

Please, I really need help :panic:

Hi, i have an Ipod Touch 4G, i have GTA 3 but after 10/15 minutes playing my GTA crashing.

 

Reading this tutorial i found the "gta3.set" but my offset are different:

Hi, I want a really fast(like 999 mph fast for stunts) indestructible and unsinkable car, I've tried editing the handling.cfg on my S4 myself but it doesn't make a difference in-game. Can anyone tell me how or provide a handling line? Thanks!

Pls help cant replace world,radar,vehicle textures

Imgtool cant replace due to a big size problem

If youre saying delete them and add.White texture is a result

And i replace radar and other textures the game stop loading when in its 1\2 of its load bar

Open the obb file (it's in fact a zip file, just named obb for some reasons) and extract it into the data folder. Then you will have more files :). And you can mod them.

Where exactly is the OBB file located? Pretty much everything a search turns up is downloads for pirated copies or installation instructions for pirated copies.

Because not many people are interested in modding games, more want to get some paid games for free, that's why there are so many threads about installing obb :). Almost every game (at least the "bigger" ones) are shipped with an obb file, even if you download the game from the Play Store. Use a file explorer, doesn't matter if on your phone or computer and go to Android\obb\com.rockstar.gtavicecity (as far as I remember) there should be just one single file - the obb one. You can temporarily change the extension from obb to zip or open it with a zip archiver. And voile you're in.

Thanks to Rockstar and War Drum Studios, the Grand Theft Auto III port for iOS and Android devices uses a direct port of the same RenderWare engine that the original game used. This means that most files are moddable using the tools we've gotten from the amazing tool makers over the years.

 

TXD - The file structure is almost the same, the textures seem to be stored differently though. The game will still load texture files from the PC version though so this really isn't a problem.

DFF - Map objects and cars open just fine with Kam's Tools. Character models are another story.

GXT, IMG, IPL, IDE, COL - Same as GTA3 PC.

SCM - Same as GTA3 PC but has a few extra opcodes.

 

Accessing the files on your iOS device

The easiest way to access the game files on your iOS device is to get iExplorer. It is a free program that allows you to explore your device without jailbreaking. To access your gta3.set file, you may have to jailbreak and get afc2add in addition to using iExplorer.

 

SCM Decompiling

The SCM for the mobile version is almost exactly the same as the SCM for the PC version. However, the mobile version uses two extra opcodes. Because SannyBuilder is unaware of these opcodes, the SCM will fail to decompile. To properly decompile the SCM, you will need to add the follow opcodes to the SCM.INI file.

I heard the gta 3 for ios is a direct port. So I went to install two car mods an started the game but the original cars where still there. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm on iphone 5s ios 7.0.4 jailbroken. Used ifunbox to extract an inject modded .img and .dir files but no luck

III uses old school TXD files. VC and SA use new texture system (TXT).

 

TXD Workshop can open TXD files from Android. Dunno about iOS.

Nvm, I got the newest TXD Workshop, and yet I still cannot open the GTA3 Andriod txds that I want to open like hud.txd and radar.txd

also for renderware converter, you need to know what the offset is for the TXDs to convert them. which I do not know. only the PS2 offsets are documented

Got the same error. Anyway, you can use TXDf*cker. Create a new texture cache list and import UNC TXD files. UNC means uncompressed. Then you can export textures in common formats like PNG, BMP... Here's the MARIA_UNC.TXD that you tried to open:

================ WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS ====================
First of all, back up your original files.
It is recommended to restart your device after the installation and do not run any other programs while playing the game for the best performance.

================ INSTALLATION ====================
1 - To be able to play this mode, you should have GTA 3 Android version 1.07 on your device.
2 - Go to Google Play Store, buy the game and download it to your device.
3 - After the download process is done, connect your phone to your PC with USB.
4 - Back up the obb files in the folder Android/Obb/.
5 - Uninstall the game and make sure that the internet connection is turned off.
6 - Copy the GTA 3 Modern Mod Mobile APK folder to device.
7 - Install the game and run and exit just for once.
8 - Copy the obb files you backed up from your PC and paste them into the Android/Obb folder.
9 - Copy the GTA 3 Modern Mod Mobile "com.rockstar.gta3" folder and replace it with the original one in the Android/Data folder.
10 - Have fun!

I cant mod my Manana with my AE86 Trueno skin. It does have 3D engine, functioning headlight, etc.

I replace it in gta3_atc.img. Because other img files wont change the look of the model, like pvr, unc, or other (oldvec files too)

However, when I replace TXD files, I load the game and it stuck on 80 percent on the loading screen. Model no problemo. (tested without its TXD)

People said there is a lot of mod that cant function normally, especially this. Any help?

 

This is what people do:

1. Download GTA IMG Tools on store (Android) or IMG Tool on PC (need to do copy paste)

2. Open the oldvec_unc.img files.

3. Start replace the model they want (dff, txd. That was what I did)

4. Rebuild the files (or sometimes they dont even rebuild)

5. Enjoy...I mean...really?

 

People also said that the way to replace depend on your phone's CPU Code. Mine is Adreno so its in atc

The mobile version stores the PLAYER.TXD in the GTA3_PVR.IMG.

The PLAYER.BMP seems to be a left over file.

Ok, do you know how to edit this TXD? Because i've opened this in TXDWORKSHOP but i have an error confused.gif Any other program to modify txd?
