And please, don't talk about dashboard cam mod of GTA IV, because it isn't good! Look @ the hands of player!

do you mean a cockpit view? for GTA V this view is a waste, IMO. i want to see the world on my entire screen and not shared with a half-ass interior of some knockoff car. save that stuff for race simulator which do this best. the windshield cam is as close as I need to get to the vehicle or aircraft. If a dash or cockpit cam is included then great, as long as other camera views are not sacrificed in order to include it. I'm sure there's dozens of other aspects of the game on which R* could use the effort and disc space required to add dash cam views that would make the game more fun in ways that interiors of fake cars simply cannot.

I'd be really pissed of if they don't include it. The front-cam in GTA IV was thrilling already, but a dashboard view would really add u to the excitement and realism!

 

Imagine driving like that in the deserts and mountains wow!

I think that's the windshield cam. it's on the outside face of the windshield and not inside the car. love that view too, esp on the projector where the car hood is life size. wish the camera would turn a little faster though when looking around.

Yeah. Definitely. I loved to drive in dashboard cam mod in gta iv. It'd be nice. But i don't think it'd be done as it requires a steering wheel animation and working meters. They'd use that processing power to do something else, otherwise we'd have already seen it in IV. The devs are begging for more processing power since a long time. But who knows, they might bring it.

ive always seen gta as a third person shooter [ever since gta3 anyway]. and i think it should be left that way. especilly when driving. leave it to the modders.

Yes. I. Would. It would be a lot cooler flying a private jet from the protag's perspective. You'd be screwed if you somehow got into a dogfight with the dude piloting a hydra, but the metal flying into your skull would be so... right.

Only if it was optional, though. That would be a major pain in the ass if I died all the time because I didn't know a griefing pilot was in my airspace... unless they could make a functional hud radar from the inside...

if i want to drive cars in cockpit, i play forza 4..

 

the car physics in GTA arent ready for it, for example hood view the car rocked like a boat from side to side..

I would be fine with a hood cam like in IV for driving, but I would like to see a first person option for walking around. I'd still play most of the time in third person, but would be cool when just exploring the world to add a new layer of immersion. I would not, however, want it to be anything more than an optional view. Third person should still be the main view used for the game.

Maybe. But I'm not sure if I'd even really use this view very often. I used the hood cam a couple times in IV just to mess around with it, but it didn't take long for the novelty to wear off. So I don't see a dash cam really adding much more to the game for me other than I'll be able to see my steering wheel and other stuff.

agreed, driving animations is also important for a successful cockpit view.

I have always wanted a cockpit cam. I've enjoyed it in many many games. Do I think rockstar is going to include it finally? No. They never spend time or space on the interior of car let alone animations....maybe someday but not in V. If they do put it in well then hats off to them, but it bettrr be well done not crap thrown together.
